 When I say “coin” I mean star coin

1-1: Get big from the checkpoint
1-2: Get fire from the block next to the pipe after the 2nd coin, get mega from the fire pipe
Don’t open the item house between 1-2 and 1-3 or the 1up house at 1-3
1-3: Get leaf from the first block
1-Tower S: Get another leaf from the block right after the checkpoint, only get the 1st coin
1-Cannon: Don’t get the gold flower from the red ring
M-1: Get star from the hidden block and run through the level, don’t get any coins
Don’t open either house at M-2
M-2: Dmg boost through the urchin blocking the pipe to the 3rd coin

Go to World Star
Open the star house and the Star World levels; you should have spent all your star coins now

Time ends when you see the “You completed every course in the game!” message box. If you don’t have max lives when that message pops up, you must go and get to max lives before you end time. In this case, time ends on hitting Exit Level or completing the level you get to max lives in.

Gold Route and the M-2 Gold Flower

Guides is probably a better place for this than the forums.  This powerup route saves 3-4 seconds over the old one, but is significantly harder.

New 100% Route

This route changes the world order a bit to cut out map movement and changes around some levels to be in a smarter and more convenient order meaning we don't have to go out of the way for power-ups as much. I have also included information about when you will be switching power-ups and grabbing coin blocks as well as some other tips. Enjoy!

World 1A
1-1 (123): Hit checkpoint to get big
1-2 (123): Get Fire Flower for coin 3 from left block to your left after exiting the pipe
1-3 (123): Get leaf from first block
1-Tower Secret (1): Get a reserve leaf if you want by tail swiping the first block
1-Cannon: Get 8 red coins to put a gold flower into your reserve

World MA
M-1 Secret (13): Get star from hidden block before first coin
M-A (123): Equip Gold Flower and use it to destroy blocks and spiked balls
M-1 (2): Equip reserve leaf while grabbing star, use Gold Flower for coin 2
M-2 (123): Damage boost through urchin at the end of first section, equip reserve leaf in room with coin 3
M-Ghost House (123): Left door, middle door, only door
M-Ghost House Secret: Left door, left door, only door (yes this is different than how you do it in Any%, this is the fastest route as Tanooki Mario)
M-B (123): Get reserve leaf from anywhere, coin block may be helpful for coin 3

Warpless Advanced Guide

This guide shows off the harder strats in the run. Most of these strats only save 1 to 2 seconds (if that) and most of them range from somewhat tricky to extremely hard.
