Rationale behind Glitch bans

Clipping: passing through geometry that has collision
This can skip major parts of the game.

    Voiding: going off the map in places with no death trigger
This can skip major parts of the game.

    AI Jump: using the AI's ability to jump in places a human player cannot
This can skip major parts of the game.

    Phantom Carry: retaining a hitbox from a carried item in order to push things
This can be used to clip through things or push objects in unintended ways.

    Unintended Trigger: touching parts of an event collision box that extend through walls in order to skip game actions.
This skips intended parts of gameplay in a glitchy feeling way. It looks like you're clipping through a wall.

    Trigger Skip: Avoiding a cutscene trigger by utilizing character swapping
This can break the game.

    Animation Cancel Quit: Speeding up game animations by quitting out of a character mid-animation.
This can break the game.

Run verification guide

Watch for visual splices, clicks/pops/skips in audio, and checking for the use of cheating techniques. Check nick token counts. At start of game, the token count must be 0, and life count 4 (except NG+). Each level should have a consistent token count and life count from then on. Between level transitions and upgrades, ensure the count never changes inexplicably. Make sure that they get every upgrade (except NG+) and that the upgrades seen in gameplay match those that were gotten thru menus.

Brief pauses and hangups happen. These occur on console, and are normal.

Re-time the run. Do not use their split timer unless you have made sure it is accurate. Use visual cues: the screen's initial cut to black, and the last pixel of green in calamitous' health bar disappearing for full game.
