Metroid Dread gets a free update that introduces both Dread Mode and Rookie Mode!
Is anyone interested in speedrunning either mode?
I think that it will be interesting to see new tricks and routes for the dread mode, things like running into the fire cannon guys to pass them would not work anymore. It will be interesting to see if there are any other changes for this mode, like new rewards for it.
When is the update supposed to release?
It already has and so far there has been no ending rewards. Its basically everything one shotting you. Luckily cold rooms and hot rooms still deal normal damage so NMG can STILL be done in dread mode. Its just harder now
