The stuff yall been doing lately is nuts. But all the walkthroughs of the game seem like incredibly antiquated or not speedrun specific. If anyone has a recent run, could they kind of just make a running list of what it is they're actually doing piece by piece? I'm sure it's second nature to yall, but the constant screen switching and such just make it hard to actually perceive whats going on.

Sounds like an alright idea. In general do you think a written guide or a commentary tracked vid would be more effective? So far I just got a commentary guide to the Meteor Police run, but that's a few weeks old and doesn't reflect the stuff discovered most recently.

Honestly whatever is easier for you. Written would probably easier to organize all the bigger tasks, video with commentary would help us visualize the more detailed pieces that flicker by so fast in a run. Any explanatory content is great for me.

I would be willing to compile a video of useful “tricks/glitches” that could be used in runs. I feel like that would be helpful to most newcomers.

Yeah just an overarching caption of each screen switch:

-Switch to Michael- Grab Key under doormat Open door -Switch to Jeff- Enter House Open door to Kitchen but don't enter walk upstairs to steel door

just something like that would at least outline what in the world I'm watching lol

That's a great idea, a guide would definitely be useful. On a side-note, you guys are truly doing some amazing work here. Transferring the Hunk-O-Match to another character, skipping cutscenes, lots of "New Kid" skips & manips, and a faster way to glitch the tentacle at the end. The route has changed so much, I need to take a long look at it before I try again.
