hi rcarney! this game is really little known because of the lack of advertising due to independent development. to be honest, this game is really new to this website (just got approved last week) so I'm still working on optimizing the route for all the categories. if you want i will start setting up pastebins with the routes as im working on them!
Yeah that sounds good and would you like to get in contact and I would happily find out new things within the game
id be down! hopefully when i return home this week my microphone will have arrived and then i could set up my twitch/skype the way i want to!
Yo! Any particular reason you guys are not running the PC version? It looks better, will defenitely be faster and easier to access I assume. Im considering running this game on PC, could you add it as a Platform? Thanks!
I don't know if you'll ever read this since it's been 5 months, but here's a random person to the rescue!
there are at least three big differences between the pc and the wii that could change the speed run times. It's been a while since I played the wii but the feeling of playing both versions and watching a bit of your run might have confirmed them all so here they are.
1: the biggest one here is the one I doubt the most as a "difference" but you never seemed to do it in your run. In the pc version I have been able to skip all of the non in-game cutscences entirely such as: the intro after you put the name in, the king intros:, the king defeats, etc. It cuts a huge amount of time that might make the pc the better version.
2: The citizens placements seem less randomized, I only watched a bit and forgot to check but in the pc they always seem to spawn in exact locations such as a couple soldiers on the bridge, carpenters at their hut and so on. memorize these locations and there could be a decent time drop.
3: the pc version has a "60 fps" mode that may speed up the gameplay. However, when it was released it was so broken and jarring because of lag in some places with double the game speed in another that I only used it once for a good laugh. However, the game has been updated so that the mode runs a "little" better but there might still be some lag in a few areas.
so there! dunno if you already knew these or will even read this but hopefully this helps you or someone who wants to consider speed running this game. I'm trying to run it myself and so far I've made it to Duvroc without falling apart.
with practice I will hopefully go farther.
