Hello everybody!
Since its creation on SRC, we have decided to level the playing field by forcing PC players to limit their runs at 60 Hz to somewhat make it fair regarding Switch runs, which are undoubtedly at a disadvantage due to instability in the refresh rate compared to PC. Therefore, we have decided to open a 120 Hz subcategory to allow PC players to play at an even higher rate.
Why 120 Hz and not more? We want to keep it capped to not start an arms race, to make sure you don't need to buy a 240 Hz monitor to get WR if you so desire.
The rules are still the same: You need a video of your run, and when you play on PC you must display an FPS counter to prove that you are playing at 60 or 120 Hz. Any run played between 61 and 120 Hz will fall under the "120 Hz" category. Anything over 120Hz or without an FPS counter will be rejected.
