My first half decent 100% run with 250 out of 250 points on the Overland Route. Run starts at 4:22 in the video. The last two times I did a 100% run, I forgot to READ PSALM, and ended up with 98% runs. Oops!

As I play more, I notice more and more differences in the Software Farm version. There are a lot more clues, and certain puzzles can be skipped entirely. I still enjoy playing this beautifully designed game 35 years later! I can't believe how accurately they depicted Sutter's Fort and Sutter's Mill, they look just like the real thing.

There's a ton of room for improvement in this run, but I had some fairly good luck avoiding cholera, falling off wagons, and angry horses this time.

Fun Fact: You can only strike gold (outside James' mine) 50 times, regardless of whether you use the pan. shovel, or both. If you get robbed out in the woods, you lose all your gold and the points you scored while mining it, and you can strike gold another 50 times and get your points back.
