I am interested in speedrunning this game but the only way i can play it it's on my mac, specifically on the pcsx-reloaded emulator
ePSXe was recently banned by the Crash Bandicoot Community for being inaccurate. They opt for Mednafen instead, which not only is accurate, but open-source, thus being more accessible to Players who do not use Windows.

The Croc Community should allow it, too (as should every other PS1 Board, really).
I second this, imho. Not only is ePSXe quite inaccurate for a lot of games (often moreso than PCSX-R in my experience), but it's also windows-only and closed source (so none of the inaccuracies can easily be patched).
Mednafen is quite accurate and open source, I personally think it should be the preferred emulator if any ps1 emulator is allowed (most likely also including the BeetleHW port since it's the same emulator just ported to the libretro API, notably for retroarch)
Is there any specific reason why ePSXe is the only allowed emulator? Is there a process for evaluating other emulators? If so, can we help with that or is that entirely out of our control?
Have considered running this but not sure if ePSXe 2.0.5 would be valid as 2.0 is (there is no 2.0 or earlier version for Mac).
Also agreeing with the idea of opening up to Mednafen, whose core is also used in OpenEmu for Mac.
Duckstation also looks viable, there's been plenty of conversation surrounding that in the Spyro/Crash boards if you need to see some inspiration.
A new category, decades in the making, has been added to the croc leaderboards.
100% Hoverless is now a category for PC and PS1.
