UFO 50 now officially has a Category Extensions page! A couple of categories have already been added/moved, and there will be more categories in the future. Enjoy!
Three new Marathon categories have been added: 10 Games, 25 Games, and 40 Games.
These categories allow you to pick and choose which games you want to play!
Even more level leaderboards have been added for the following games:
- Party House
- Lords of Diskonia
- Combatants

Leaderboards for the individual levels of the following games have been added:
- Mortol
- Warptank
- Rail Heist
- Rock On! Island
All individual level runs are timed using RTA (just like full game runs). The timing rules can be found in the 'Category Rules' for each Level Leaderboard.
If you believe that there are other games in UFO 50 that should have Level Leaderboards, feel free to suggest them to a mod or create a thread post!
Redundant Cherry Categories Have Been Removed
This affects the following games:
- Paint Chase
- Planet Zoldath
- Devilition
- Kick Club
- Bushido Ball
- The Big Bell Race
- Hot Foot
- Pingolf
- Mortol II
- Fist Hell
- Star Waspir
- Campanella 3
If you believe any of the above games were incorrectly adjusted, or that any games were incorrectly inadjusted, please create a thread or reply to this post. The boards can still be adjusted.
Fist Hell, Star Waspir, and Elfazar's Hat will have an eye kept on them as there are currently no submitted runs.
Why?
For the above list of games, the requirement for a cherry clear are naturally fulfilled in the attempt to speedrun a gold clear. For example, The Big Bell Race's cherry requirement is to win first in every race, but a competent gold speedrun would do this anyway.
This made nearly every run for some games apply to both cherry and gold subcategories. Maintaining two identical boards adds a lot of work for the verifier team, and there were often mistakes.
The cherry category has been removed instead of the gold to keep these boards accessible to new runners, who may not be able to fulfill the cherry condition.
How does this affect me? Can I still submit cherry runs?
It doesn't, really. If a cherry board for a game has a run by "SUBMIT TO GOLD", make sure you submit the run to that game's gold category instead.
