I think separating the runs that use hacking tools from the runs that don’t would allow for some much more creative runs. How hard/plausible would it be to add a separate category for the hacking tool?

I don't see the point in separating hacking tools right now; it'd just divide a board up more than it already should be. Unless they buff hacking tools or smth, it doesn't really seem likely but at that point there'd probably be a new meta less reliant on hacking tools.
