Since this is a group game, I suggest a team category. I think it would be cool to see the best team where allies need to have synergy in the division of tasks.
The number of tasks is 8, with default values. The number of players is a maximum of 8, but a group can try to perform with less if they want.
I second this. It was inevitable that this game would be speedrun by a group of players.
Question? How would you verify the runs? Would all of the runners need to be recording and upload all of their recordings to be verified?
does anyone know of games where coop speedrun has already been successfully implemented

Among us has done the same thing. Here's a link to one of the 3-4 Crewmate Speedruns: https://www.speedrun.com/among_us/runs/yvl7ve8z
Stardew Valley has a multiplayer speedrun category. https://www.speedrun.com/stardew_valley/runs/y4l7rndz
It looks like all players will need to record their screen and upload it to YouTube to be verified.
Option 1. Would you prefer categories for specific team sizes? Like this:
- 2 Players
- 3-4 Players
- 5-6 Players
- 7-8 Players
Option 2. Or would you prefer categories for all team sizes? like this:
- 2-8 Players
Option 3. Or would you prefer subcategories for each unique team size? Like this:
- 2 Players
- 3 Players
- 4 Players
- 5 Players
- 6 Players
- 7 Players
- 8 Players
I would prefer option 3, which gives specific team sizes their own unique category for their runs. What do you think?
Another question: Is communication with teammates allowed externally or only through voice in the game?
For example, if I find a piece but my ally is on the other side of the map, transmitting that information would make a difference
I added the category for multiplayer! The category is called Any% Multiplayer with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8-player count variants.

We don't have any runs in this category just yet, if there's demand for a separate tag (vanilla communications vs 3rd party communications) then I will add that option to the submission form.
