How is it possible to get Teddiursa before the second gym? He appears on route 45 which is unreachable before the second gym. Am I missing something? Teddi is one of my favourite dudes and I'd love to do that run, but I'm not sure how to get him that early; also the custom starter mega in the resources doesn't include him as a custom starter. Do I just gameshark him into the pokeball and then soft reset? I'm confused about this.
Don't think that's allowed, seeing all the "Alt Pokes" are Pokemon you can catch before reaching the second Gym - which is also stated in the rules that "the pokemon must be caught before defeating the second gym leader."
Point being you don't need to change the starters if you can easily get the Pokemon without resorting to it.
