hello, if you dont know me, im jahn, jahnsu, or jahnnygames on youtube and twitch. ive been playing switch sports golf professionally for about 8 months now. im only just warming up to the speedrun scene but ive made my mark with my knowledge and experience in the game, in saying that, im requesting i be added as a moderator for this game since the other moderators are either inactive or they only verify runs when they themselves get a wr. i dont plan on hunting for world records, but i do watch everyone attempting and ive been personally asked to audition as moderator, plenty can vouch, mostly gonna be so theres a decent moderator to verify runs. flepty himself said noone else wants to, well im here.

I had to wait less than 2 days for my runs getting verified in the past.
your own runs were verified within 2 days, SRC recommends that it can sometimes take 1-3 weeks for runs to be verified. Nintendo Switch Sports also doesn’t have a huge volume of runs all the time so doesn’t have (or necessarily need) a large mod team. with the Basketball update this may change while there are more runs being submitted, but that’s at the discretion of the mods
thats nice and all. but its more about the fact the only person verifying times will more often then not only verify times after hes beaten them. its very bittersweet, if the community is going to grow then we need moderators that are going to be more respectful then the current have been. noone wants to run these categories due to shot-assist runs being verified as soon as we do achieve impressive feats without it.
there's plenty of evidence out there that proves flepty does not do this and has never done this before. Flepty has been a huge help in the nss moderation scene and to see the recent backlash against them is really upsetting. Flepty takes their position very seriously and is the sole reason why runs can be verified within two days most of the time. Sometimes, it's just not that deep man. Also, you just joined src in May and haven't even joined the speedrunning discord server where everyone else is. At this moment, there is zero reason why we should trust you over everyone else to verify these runs.

Flepty is the only mod. Theriverp hasn't even been online in 6 months, is not in the discord, and can't be unmodded by flepty. Flepty is the only person that can even verify their runs, idk who else you expect to do that.

Disabling the comments was not Flepty's decision. He came to the other mods and we suggested to him to disable comments which he was reluctant to do.

Again, you literally joined src today, haven't done a run on src and you are the one trying to call him out. Not sure if you're an alt but, again, it's just not that serious man. Stop harassing Flepty over something they can't control. You are not making a better case for yourself here.
Ok, so where are the other mods he went to. You just said he's the only mod; but went to other mods for help? It sounds to me like you need another mod. Try jahn! I understand your server actually works for Wii Sports and Wii Sports resort, but nobody runs the switch categories from your server. Especially golf, they do that in the NSSGolf server; where the active runners actually are. There wouldn't be a problem if the overwhelming majority of ACTIVE runners to this game didn't experience problems. If flepty is the only mod and yall are enabling his behaviour; yall are the bad influences. WE ARE TRYING TO POST OUR SPEEDRUNS AND YOU GUYS ARE MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT. JUST DO YOUR JOB!

- toxicity towards those giving criticism, enough to generate enough attention that both sides of our community are now involved.
we, are on, the same side dude. We are all trying to post speedruns. "we've discussed its not possible to legitimize online runs" Really? Is this the only game that has this format? "9 holes is already a format" Broooo just read properly the formats I posted My bottom line is either flepty is unable to manage what needs to be done alone, which hence adds to the point of make jahn another mod; or yall as a community do not have what it takes to be the ones in charge of the Switch Sports Leaderboards, should focus on Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort moderation instead; and leave the responsibility in the hands of people who have the experience to maturely and fairly legitimize everything.
crazy shiz, i just wanna verify the homies runs in case flep is busy, homie said himself flep is the sole moderator in this community and idk why you guys are acting like having more wouldnt be beneficial for everyone as a whole, this was never a dig at anyone to start with, me and flep have spoken and for me its just banter, bro can play the game however he wants to play the game, i genuinely just want to bring everyone together as a whole so everyone can be happy.
I am not going to take sides here, but both Beem and Jahnsu are great people with good intentions. They are wanting to minimize any bias when it comes to run verification. They also have both been mods for the NSS Golf Community discord server, Jahnsu a former mod (IRL Things Overwhelming) and Beem a current mod. I know this because I have been admin for the server for over a year. They are both trustworthy people. There is no reasonable downside to having more than one active mod, so I don't necessarily understand the reluctancy to add them. By all means, I have an open mind so if you're willing to tell us as to why it could pose to be harmful, I am happy to listen. But as of now, I cannot see the downside to adding at least one active and trustworthy moderator who is very willing to put it any work that they can.
