Hello! I am fairly new to the speedrunning community and I am wondering if there is a way to quickly reset a run instead of going through all the game menus. For reference, I play on WiiU (disc) and mostly run the any% category.

There isn't sadly. There's no savestate mod or any other way to reset the run that wouldn't make your run look suspicious. Pressing the home button and then clicking reset with the cursor is the fastest way to reset on Wii U. The Wii has a reset button on the front of the console, which would take you right to the title screen. That would be the most efficient way to reset overall.
