Double Slope Boost

If you maintain slope speed and the jump on to the edge of a slope and then jump off the slope (tight window), your speed will increase dramatically saving a bunch of time in levels that are extremely slope heavy like 6-2, 8-5, 5-1, etc. This trick isn't entirely consistent since it's not known why this happens yet but it's definitely still worth going for.

Speed Storage Strategies

There are two main strats you must involve in your runs in order to get to the top whenever possible

1. Spring Momentum Storage
	- To perform this, you must be going at fast speed and when you land on a spinning spring you must let go of all directional inputs and press jump (Ex: Level 2-A)


2. Slope Speed Storage
	- To perform this, whenever you slide down a slope of any kind you must let go of all inputs and hold down. You can keep the speed by crouch jumping and bouncing off enemies unless you hit a wall. Be cautious when using this strat since you may find yourself flying into hazards on accident

Important Note: Pressing any directional inputs while in any speed storage state will instantly bring you back to normal speed.

Version Differences (Outdated)

If you are doing IL No Rules Runs, All Race Maps, or any category without Stars Coins (also no version splits 17.0.9+) and you are using the newest version, you are at a disadvantage. All versions after 17.0.8 has inconsistent flagpole hitboxes and you can lose at most, half a second or even more if you have bad ping.
