Now that would make sense if it actually told you which version of the game you were on in the main menu
So my run was rejected because it didn't have the main menu, which is fine, what I want to know is why you have this rule
I cannot seem to right click on the SRTHost to change the settings. is there a new way to do that?
the intro to this game isn;t actually that bad. Yeah its annoying you have to play it again when you fuck up 5 minutes in but if you don't fuck up you wont have to replay the first 5 minutes again amirite?
I just used the autosplitter for the first time and just like the demo, Higher FPS gives you a lower time on the timer when at cutscenes. I've only tested it on the first cutscene so far but it could easily be others too. Just to keep that in mind
I've just noticed the level leaderboard is completely different. It's really sad because the game has been run that way for over a decade (In terms of people running categories as an IL and having its own "WR") Very stupid in my honest opinion
Edit 1 - I've also just noticed that it's been set to Full Game Leaderboard by default. Somehow the Full Game looks worse than the old level leaderboard. As I said earlier, the game has been ran IL for god knows how long and defaulting to Full Game which has 10 runs is just not the right move in my opinion
Its probably just movement and menuing. you'd be suprised how much time you save by doing it perfectly
Ah nice. I'm not in the discord. Any chance of getting the link updated on the Resources section?
I could be wrong but I think the update to RE2 broke the SRT. Can't get any values to show up.
you can use Open Broadcaster Software. It can also capture the framerate if you do Display Capture or allow the recording of overlays within the game capture
@TheNevs no need to shitpost about me when i'm just putting my opinion on the forum
@IgorAlmeida I get your point too but I don't think that the runs in Category Extension should be promoted that much since they are "Category Extension Runs". Back in the day you would have to actually navigate to another page on the site and a completely different game to find cat extensions but now its on the navbar on the left and has its own section dedicated to it
TBH I think the boards are fine as they are. They were set up right after the release and they have done the job since. Separating consoles via a platform filter in this instance I think is unfair. If there was two runs on console and you had extra categories with no runners it would be a good idea. much less clutter. But there's 170 runs on Leon A standard alone. Those runs deserve to stand out as their own category.
In terms of adding Pistol Only, Knife Only and True Ending to the main leaderboards is a big nope from me. There not super competitive categories, They are kinda just for fun. They are fine in category extensions.
Changing around categories/leaderboard formats in general to me is a bad idea in most circumstances and this is one of them. the boards look great.
I was wondering if i could change the FOV before the medallions, so when i am walking to them i can see them easier and solve them faster. If i change it outside of range of them i wont gain an advantage of saving time and working them out on the pause screen because i can't see them
The loading times on the PS3 are random at some stages, but it does not effect the IGT, only the RTA. IGT is always good
I still disagree with seperating all the versions, but taking away the 7 or so minutes of the ending cutscenes from the IGT doesn't sound too bad of an idea, maybe have a variable where it says True IGT Yes/No (Yes being HD version legit IGT and No being SD consoles, apart from Dreamcast)
