In my run yesterday (just past midnight here), I didn't see the second text box at all. here's a clip of that:

I thought it might have been because I went up the side instead of using the platform as an elevator, or because I didn't jump to the wall (early enough). So I went back into Dolphin and used the 18 drop save state, but I tried both ideas (I tried jumping late and not at all, just sliding to the wall) and neither of them were able to reproduce the skip. I still think the gate could have something to do with it, because I got hit while it was closing, but I wasn't able to get the gate to hit me like in the clip after about 10 minutes of retrying, so I gave up on that.

are there any other ideas as to why this happened? I'm using the build that came with the savestates zip, Dolphin 5.0-13178.
