I'm trying to learn to run this game again. I can get Flowtimer to open just fine, but when I try to launch the gen 3 starter predictor, it just doesn't open at all. I already have java on my computer, and it isn't working. I even tried watching PulseEffect's video on it from 2 years ago, and used the dropbox link for the java 11 app. I installed it, and still won't launch. What am I doing wrong?
I'm sure it is newer than 1.51, but wouldn't it still be fine?
https://discord.gg/v77kVzW The Official PSR Discord Server is breaking up, so here is the new discord server for Pokemon Conquest. You can talk about anything conquest here, from speedrunning to casual play
The category says "HGSS" but I was wondering if Platinum is allowed since they both have the battle factory? I didn't get a clear answer on discord, so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks.
I would like to run this game, but I would want to do it on emulator. Would an emulator be allowed, and if so, which one?
I am currently trying to speedrun as many of these stories as I can. Any speedrun videos I have that are on YouTube I will post them in this thread. Thank you. This is "Not Worth Fighting Over...2"
I submitted a Classic speedrun of this game to this website a week ago and it still hasn't been verified. It is also only a short video. Any reason why it hasn't been verified yet?
Which version is better for this and why? Also, is the difference great enough where you have to do the better game, or could you just stick with either version. (right now, I only have Leafgreen)
I want to Speedrun Pokemon Conquest, but I have a save file with 80% of my Golden Warriors in Rank 2 and Perfect Partners + most legendary Pokemon. I'm worried if I play the new save data (which I know I don't have to delete my save data to do), I'm worried the game may force me to save at some point. Is there a way for me to speedrun this game without losing my save data?
There are only two runs in that category: one by me and one by Blue rapids 12. It said that "In Game Time" is used for placing runs. BlueRapid's run got 00:31:520 and mine got 00:30:450, both IGT. Yet I'm in second place. I think it is because the leader board was ranking the runs based off real time, which I didn't put down, so it put me in second. Should I just re upload the run with the real time added or will someone fix this? If no one can fix it, I'll just take down and repost the run with real time added as well. Thanks.
I see some speedrunners start the timer at the NEW GAME screen and I see some speedrunners start the timer after naming their character (for the rng manipulation I suppose.) The rules say to start the timer at the NEW GAME screen. So does it even matter when I start the timer, or could I just start it at what I choose to?
I really appreciate you Shtrudel adding the game boy advance version of this game as a category. Do you think you can add an Any% Challenge Mode with the same rules as Any% Normal Mode, but on Challenge Mode. I was thinking of doing that difficulty.
One more thing: since this category is not even 24 hours old yet, and you're the only moderator, would it be all right if I became a moderator with you?
I really want to do the GAME BOY ADVANCE version of this game. There are speedruns for it on youtube. I saw another forum about someone wanting to do it too, but it was from a year ago, and no category is made. Should I just submit a run to the Console section of Any%, or will a category be made? What should I do? The last forum I've mentioned the speedrunner said he'd or she'd post a run for this run on the game boy advance, but never did. I plan to though. P.S. will GBA emulators be allowed?
Can you speedrun any category in this game on the DS? Just wondering.
I read a rule in Pokemon Red speedruns where the in game audio had to be audible in runs 1:55:00 and lower to prevent people to hide splits. I'm not going to, but for Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green runs, does the in game audio have to be audible? It never said in the rules, but I want to be sure. I don't want to post a run and have it rejected.
Just a few days ago, I was just viewing the rules for Pokemon Red Speedruns Any% Glitchless category. I just saw a rule I don't remember being on there. The rule is, "Submissions of 1:55:00 and lower require in game audio to be audible throughout the video." Why is this a rule and how is it beneficial to these runs?
