Hey, I just wanted to give a quick update on the 30k bounty. Since I am now a moderator for the game, It no longer feels appropriate for me to continue the bounty, so as of today it is closed. Thank you for understanding.
yo, new TAS, 0.88 seconds faster than the original TAS made by Montra.
Unfortunately, speedrunbounties has been permanently shut down, however my bounty will still remain active. $125 will be paid to the first person that... 1.) Beats the 30k speedrun record. 2.) Uploads the run to the speedrun leaderboard. 3.) Has the run successfully verified by myself and a leaderboard moderator. Thats all... good luck!
There is now a $50 open bounty for the first person to beat a time of 47.26, claiming a new WR for the 30k category!
To submit a run and claim your prize, create an account at: https://speedrunbounties.gg/bounty/62781a544cbe32001f6dcb8b
Have fun! I wish you all luck.
We are all just trying to have fun at the end of the day.
@danielr you should post your 1:03 time, it would give me another goal to work towards. Hopefully its for challenge stage 1 and not extra life 1, I already have a 1:03 pending for extra life 1. :(
Edit: I just beat the time, 1:01 now.
You want to get rid of the eight challenge stages? or do you want to get rid of challenge stage 1 because extra life 1 is by default faster? either way I do not agree, I believe both categories are fair and serve their own purpose. Our opinions are flipped anyway, I believe challenge stage should be the standard baseline while extra life is there if you want to do it.
As far as the rule changes go, I think getting rid of the double ship and single ship was a very good choice because It was more of an annoyance than anything and it really didn't add important information about the run. You did a good job with the rule changes.
Yeah I think that's what it all comes down to, allowing runs from any difficulty. As long you're doing that and you've consistently been doing that (which you have been) then there's no real problem. Maybe change the wording of "default settings" around but that's about it.
And then address FootofGods suggestion about a 1mil run category, ill message him on discord so you guys can talk that through as quickly as possible.
Thank you for being a mod that actually cares lol.
Apologies, I uploaded new runs so I privated some runs that were obsolete so my dashboard wasn't as cluttered. I'll keep them public from now on.
As for rule changes, I don't know as much as FootofGod about the game so I cant really give an opinion, that's probably something you and him will have to figure out.
I understand what you are saying now, I too believe that any difficulty should be accepted, you're right in saying that not everyone has the ability to change the settings on the machine they are playing on. I also agree that the rules need an update to avoid confusion.
