Any new thoughts on this? Im still not sure what would be best. We could keep it how it is but it just seems weird to me to have the fastest version of the run, which is literally exactly the same run the ONLY difference is you get a lazar on your gun instead of the flash light be a whole separate category. Or at least not a misc category. Maybe Special mode should just the default way to run it? Its not by much maybe only like 10 seconds, maybe a little bit more but the run is definitely faster with the lazer because you can kill enemies and the blob bosses faster with it.

A 100% category would be pretty cool for this run. We have been doing it for years at this point lol it would be fun to have to come up with some new strats and learn new rooms. Obscure 2 has a 100% category also but never learned it much.

Anyway what do you think a 100% run for this game should be? Im guessing collect all weapons, key items, notes and things like that. Maybe one of every item type? All characters surviving? What else do you guys think?

Nice, and maybe we have to discuss it now but after doing some runs and and thinking about it I dont think there should be a separate category for special mode. Literally the ONLY thing that changes is the run is getting the laser pistol instead of the normal flashlight pistol in the safe. At first it didnt even seem better to use that i thought it would be slower.. but if you charge the laser right and shoot at the correct times during boss fights it actually does end up being faster. How much im not sure maybe only 5 to 10 seconds but I do think its faster.

So we were going to do a special mode run and try to finally get under 24 minutes which were really close to... but if we do that or someone beats it solo I think it should still just be the normal WR it would just happen to be on special mode setting. Cause again its almost 99% the exact same run it seems arbitrary to have a whole new category when the run is basically exactly the same.

I liked the changes, have to do more runs now.

You could add a category for Special mode? were going to do some Special any% easy runs soon so we will have a run to upload.

Just started doing coop runs to improve our WR since its pretty bad lol and I bought the version of obscure II on steam and everything runs fine with no issue, but when we get to the part where you drop the boat into the water and have to paddle and boost your speed by tapping the action button the speed never goes up. He rows at about half the speed and no matter how fast you tap it nothing changes, and that happening during both boat segments is going to lose like 45 seconds so its not really runable. Anyone else have this issue on the steam version? I lost the install for the version i used to use so we cant really run it again till we get this figured out.
