Although, not much of a challenger. I picked this back up for a nostalgia fix and then decided to try speedrunning. Boy do I need work. My first runs of Adventure were ~10 minutes for Very Easy, and 17:45 for Normal. Both with C. Falcon, both real time. Will probably not touch All Events or All-Star, but Classic may be a fun one to go through. Still wary on Target Tests. Anyway, once I'm not crap I'll have my runs uploaded. X3
So this game looks dead, but I'm looking to get in on it. Just wanted to know a few things. Most notably if CAW's were allowed. You could really do a lot with someone with Perry's leg sweep and a maxed leg parameter. And has there not been an attempt on Heavyweight? That seems like one to go after.
Well, I have SE DL'd instead of normal, and I'm not waiting 3 days for my slow AF comp to DL it AGAIN. Them to SE it up then.
Thinking of starting to run this game, but just so I can separate the sarcasm from the actual, is SE the same as normal Skyrim? Or are there actual differences for running?
Well here's an IL for you. 24.61 Lone Wolf.
I know it can be better. :P
Sorry I couldn't be there. When you work night shift you sleep in the afternoon. :(
Anyway, threw this sloppy run together. This is on Course N, most likely the fastest course.
There is so much to fix here. First off, still not polished on Lone Wolf yet. As you can tell, I still haven't gotten the medal. Frantic pausing while trying to U-turn didn't help either :| Goofed Beta forgetting where the holes in the shield were. And for some reason, the game saying I turned right at the LAST FORK in the Venom corridor, resulting in...yeah. But it was worth it for that medal! :D
But along the bad, that was probably one of the best Attack Carrier's I've ever had. I swear that I could've one cycled it.
IGT was 39:42 RTA was ~47:50 (Timing I did was different then what actual timing is)
Don't count on that vid staying there. I'll have a better run soon
To beat a dead horse, practice. And you'd be surprised how effective it can be. Especially on bosses like Aquarosa where you can lap around it to avoid EMP and fire at it simultaneously. :3
Guess most of the discussion is here. Just gonna throw this out there. What about Arcade as the standard for speedrunning? It shows you your IGT pretty effectively for each route if we're splitting the 19 different ones into categories. Also solves the Amiibo problem too. :P
