I have no clue how to program an auto splitter, I just split manually, sorry mate. It is easier though when you enable "global hotkeys," that way you don't have to tab into livesplit every time you split.
There will most likely be some kind of restricted category added later on. We’ve been discussing it since the hover was found, but haven’t decided on anything yet. Personally, I’d think an “all main objectives” category would be the best option.
I also have a question about all tracks. Since the 20th and final track is the diamond cup you need super excite unlocked before the run. The grade requirements are different between regular excite and super excite. So could I theoretically get B/S ranks in the regular excite tracks instead of in super excite then just play the diamond cup to finish the run or do I have to play all of the tracks in super excite?
It depends on if we’re talking about console or PC, but I assume it’s PC. My Switch time would be like low 1:4x/high 1:3x IGT or something without it, so you can still get at least a half decent time.
For the "glitchless" subcategory, there's no specification of what is considered to be a glitch. My idea of "glitchless" is to play through all of the missions in order, without doing anything that would result in a sequence break. We should come up with a specific ruleset for this sometime soon.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this game was already on the website. I had a different approach when I first thought about speedrunning this though. My idea was to time how fast I could tame a certain number of animals from a new file (utilizing time abuse). For example, I ran “20 Animals Tamed,” and got a 29:53. I should clarify that this means 20 different species. Would this be a good addition to the board?
Edit: to show what this run would look like, I recorded a Pb in 20 animals (27:01 no ads)
You can't friend someone to do the run with, must be single player.
The reason why the second spin may not be working is because not enough time has passed from the first spin to the second spin. The jump/spin spacing is definitely tricky to get down at first but it’ll get easier. The second problem you’re probably simply waiting too long to jump the first time and falling, and the third problem you might be using your second jump to early, which would also cause the second spin to not come out.
Hope some of this helps!
We could do that, but that would exclude Eden so I’m not sure how that would work. Would it end around the same time the Candle Wax category ends?
I would say that a near 6 minute difference in loads alone is a pretty significant difference in gameplay. Besides, there are some Switch exclusive strats if played on 1.00 aren't there?
I was curious what the timing difference was from the Wr in console edition (Xbox One S) To my run (Nintendo Switch), so I timed the loads from the start to entering Jellyfish Fields. Just from the loads alone, they saved nearly half a minute over me from the start. This gives players on other consoles an overwhelming disadvantage. I'd like to ask, would there be a chance of having IGT timing for consoles or perhaps sub-categories for different consoles?
Sorry, forgot to set invite settings to permanent, it’s updated now.

I can get it inconsistently, you just have to jump between the gap in the window and the wall and hope you clip in (at least that’s what I do).
