I just managed to do this in the first round and wasn't recording again, it took me around 1 minute and 10 seconds
I recently got a sub 2 minute time in Texas Hold'em, but wasn't recording and I couldn't use the switch's rewind feature. Anyway my strategy is instead of folding every round get everyone to go all in and only one person can win, so the game ends. In my run I did this happened in the 2nd round as a CPU folded in the first. The most important thing if it goes to the second round is that the person who won the first round wins again giving them every chip.
Gomoku Finish in 16 seconds and Hare and Hounds Finish in 12 seconds
Is touchscreen allowed? I know it says in the rules that touchscreen is not allowed in any runs, but there are IL runs that use the touchscreen and are verified.
Personally, I completely agree that downhill is just a free WR, however since it is literally just a hold right level I don't think 16 will be possible. I will try for a sixteen, but since we haven't got a 16 in 10 months without a new discovery or some sort of glitch I don't think it is possible.
Thanks for the answer it makes so much sense, I can't believe I didn't think of it.
For some reason when I watched the WR run of level 18 (treetop fireballs) around 24 seconds in when mario exits the red pipe he appears out the pipe for a second then an animation plays and mario exits the pipe. I am not trying to say this run is segmented I just wondered how this happened. If anyone knows please could you reply.
I also agree with finding the tutorial balloons as this category would be very RNG dependant and as a runner it wouldn't be that fun to run and also when trying to find just one balloon you have two go through quite a bit of dialogue since you have to connect to the network. I guess there could be two subcategories one where you pop the tutorial balloons and one where you pop random balloons, if this is made a category and this is what happens I think the more popular sub category will be popping the tutorial balloons.
@linny356 yes those two runs would be timed the same making the category quite RNG dependant and i don't think there would be a separate category for out of bounds balloons, as while I have played Luigi's balloon world I don't come across out of bounds balloons that often unless I specifically try to find them.
@linny356 The runner could choose whatever balloon they want from the 3 pages , timing would be RTA for the run and there wouldn't be a difference in timing a 600 meter balloon than a 30 meter balloon and when I thought of the category I knew there would be lots of RNG.
The way the category would work would be simple, after beating the game you would pop one balloon from Luigi's Balloon World in each kingdom, you can start and end in whatever kingdom you choose. The rules could be you can't input a balloon ID and possibly the balloon has to be a certain distance away from the start. Timing would start when you press 'A' to speak to Luigi in the first kingdom or when you press 'A' on Find It and end when you pop the last balloon. Currently I haven't recorded a run and just wondered would anyone be interested in this category.
