No, game overs are coded into the game and aren't even considered a glitch or exploit. If you get a game over in a run and still beat the game, the time will still count. None of the rules dictate that you must beat the game deathless.
Doesn't matter as long as it is completely accurate to an actual GB/GBA. Accurate emulators are easier to find then inaccurate ones, especially for older systems like the GB, so don't stress too much about it.
Well, clearing achievements basically means doing three whole runs, one dedicated to five hearts (and being normal ending), one dedicated to hidden ending, and one dedicated to xp and hearts. I'll try running it and see what'll happen.
Every time I think about doing a five heart run, I get anxiety. I can. and likely will. add any runs that are suggested. I'll go ahead and add that to misc for now.
The basic route of this category would be beating hidden ending and then 100% back to back, so while I love the idea, for now I'll just add it as a misc. category. <3
Sure. Holding down the shoot button will continue shooting for you, and also lock the direction you are shooting. You can mash through text with both the jump and shoot buttons Uphill slopes can be finicky as it will ramp you into the air, carrying your momentum. Try to jump on the slope and not after when applicable. This game is all health management, where to get more health and where to damage boost. I ran this game and submitted runs of this game. That being both any%s and the both characters run.
But I found an easy exploit of right clicking the game and pressing play to skip the card sequences, and therefore alleviating some time there, but the "done" buttons stays on screen (along with the entirety of puzzles) and when you press done while still in game in will force the game to stop and let you spin again.

So here's the bottom line question: Is this cheating? Are my runs valid? I felt like posting it here and seeing if there's any opinions instead of leaving it to a single mod to decide whether or not to approve it. Really, there's no hard feelings if they're rejected, and I'm sure it would be quite a buzz kill to have some dude take out the WR to three of the four categories like this.
I was more pointing out the fact that there's so much overlapping and literally the same genre. You're allowed to put add multiple genres to one game. As well as the fact there's 6 "run-and-gun" genre"s", and 6 "shoot 'em up" genre"s"
An example being the list of "2D" games. It would be as simple as making "2D" the only genre related to the concept of "2D", instead of having more specifications along with "2D". Instead of having: "2-D 2D 2D action 2D Fighter 2D Platform 2D Platformer 2D side scrolling platform game 2D sidescrolling platformer 2D sidescrolling run-and-gun platformer 2D-Fighter"
You could tag a game as "2D", as well as "Platformer" and also "run-and-gun" - that would exterminate most of the clutter.
I think it's great that a person can discover new games that are similar to what they already like, and speedrun them and all that. Every game is unique so I also completely understand underpopulated
But as a user looking for a genre or a user who just submitted a game and adding genres to their specific game, there's so many genres that are unnecessarily listed, or rather are spelled slightly different, it's rather a chore.
I don't have any authority or ability to change anything, so I politely request anyone to consider cleaning up the genres, and/or perhaps making it so while adding genres to a game, suggestions pop up in a window, like an auto-complete for convenience.
I'm sorry if this is read as somewhat condescending or similar, I'm not completely familiar with the current culture of this website. <3
