Hello, I've created and repo to list all issue for Final Fantasy 7. The repo is also designed to collect and share infos so that it makes it easier for beginner to get into FF 7 speedrunning. It's not finished yet but I will try to collect as much as possible.

I talked today in Discord channel and the answer was no ... I quote 'no one is running it'. Seems we are all no one here. :)

Any progress on that? I'm running almost daily glitchless runs.

Ensure you: ¤ run livesplit as admin ¤ use latest autosplitter.asl file https://gist.github.com/CHEF-KOCH/158c893c423af2d44f5df8bb9b176494 which belongs into /components folder (in livesplit) ¤ enabled autosplitter under Edit - Splits ¤choosed in-game time (compare against - game time must be checked).

It's not possible since some skips are fixed, for example 'Resource Operations'. Besides this if you have bad luck currently the game gives you a black screen directly after the Tower animation or simply crashes which makes it almost impossible. You also not mentioned in which category 'nightmare' or 'too young to die' ?

With the new camera trigger it's maybe possible to beat the game in minutes but I guess it isn't allowed (?), but an similar trick 'glory kill wall clip' may could help if someone really find a way to use this in a way which could save time.

In this video it's shown how you perform a speed run trick to finish levels in minutes.

Edit: I found here: http://tasvideos.org/1224M.html a run in 17:45 (seems EU/US version) but I'm unsure if that count's because it looks like cheated (he not gets any damage and sometimes he can run directly into a spear) and maybe the video was several times cuts to insert only the best runs.

So there is a lot of discussion we need: 1.) Which version - only Jap because it's faster with more ghosts? 2.) Which mode (press a+b+start and you find a secret menu on start)? - Or default? 3.) Which are the times to beat? 4.) Which emulator FCEUx/puNES or Nestopia? 5.) In Segment 2 ('Abandoned subway tunnel') there are a kind of ghosts which not need to be caught, just laser them or wait until they drive into a wall .. does it counts if you not catch them?
