If pewpew has a million fans, then I am one of them. If pewpew has ten fans, then I am one of them. If pewpew has only one fan then that is me. If pewpew has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against pewpew, then I am against the world.
you can make it a rule to turn on "Show Settings Overlay" in the Display options on DuckStation. This will show any changes to CD Speed, Seek Speed etc in the bottom right of the window. There's also an option in the Advanced settings to "Disable All Enhancements"
Right click Livesplit, go to Edit Splits, then press Activate. Then right click Livesplit, go to Edit Layout and remove Scriptable Auto splitter
Are you using the new built-in autosplitter that you can activate in Livesplit or are you using the older autosplitter that you have to manually add to your layout? The new autosplitter should automatically split at the end but the old one doesn't.
REbirth is a separate category. There is nothing stopping you from running the game without REbirth.
This isn't just about intentional cheating but also runners altering game files with no knowledge of what they are doing. It's okay for people who have experience with costume modding to claim that nothing other than the skin is being altered, but the runners who have no knowledge and are downloading random skins and dropping them in their game folder have no idea what that is potentially doing to their game. Custom costumes are not worth the issues it can cause for us and the runners.
Hello Everyone
Up until now we had no rule stating whether custom costumes were allowed or not and they were mostly tolerated due to the lack of submissions with runners using them. There has recently been a rise in the use of custom costumes which has pushed us to have to make a decision on whether they should be allowed or not moving forward. Due to the difficulty in verifying their legitimacy and the potential for cheating; we have decided to ban the use of custom costumes.
We understand that some runners will be unhappy with the change but we believe this will help prevent any cheating through this method in future and help keep the boards legitimacy intact.

are you using a version of the REbirth patch from the resources section? The newest version on Gemini's website doesn't work for speedrunning so you have to use one of the versions that we uploaded to the resources section.
I think it's just because some people are just using the "Show Display FPS" option which shows the refresh rate that DuckStation is running at which will be 60fps/60hz if it's an NTSC game. The game internally is still running at 30fps which you can see if they use the "Show Game Frame Rate" option. Ideally people would show both. Either way the game should be running at 30fps.
if you're using the REbirth patch that is provided in the resources section then all you have to do is press F2 on the configuration menu. You don't need to rename any .exe files.
It's a good question. Yeah Wii should be allowed for consoles runs, doesn't make much sense not to. I'll amend the rules so it states this.
Sorry I've only just seen this. The reason the text is messed up is because the creator of the REbirth patch removed support for the TWN/CHN version on his newest patch. You can download the older versions of the patch from the resources section of this board which should fix the issue. We don't accept the new version of the patch for runs because of this.
Create a new folder and copy these folders to it from your old RE3 installation: DATA, DATA_A, DATA_AJ, DATA_J, ROOM, ZMOVIE and also the bio3_pc.exe. Start the game from this new folder and hopefully it should create a new config file and try to read any new saves you make from the new folder.
Hey everyone!
Recently the RE3 mod team has had to debate the legitimacy of certain runs submitted to the leaderboard. Due to the suspicious nature of these runs we have decided to require the use of an input display, effective immediately, to help assist us in verifying runs. This change will only affect runners who submit a time below 42:00 on PC Any% and runners who submit a top 3 time on other PC or *Emulator categories. This change will NOT affect console runs.
For keyboard we recommend that you use NohBoard to display your inputs, this can be downloaded from here: https://github.com/ThoNohT/NohBoard/releases
For controller we recommend that you use GamepadViewer which you can access using this link: https://gamepadviewer.com/
Other methods including hand cams will be accepted providing every input is clearly visible.
If you require help setting up NohBoard or GamepadViewer then feel free to ask and we will try to assist you as best as we can.
Thanks
The RE3 Mod Team
*Edit: Emulator runs also require an input display when running on PC. This was not originally made clear.
