This will be added soon, the idea has been floating around for a while but hasn't been implemented yet. Career will probably be the only one we add multiplayer to for now, for simplicity sake
idk where i got 333ms from but i wrote in the run description why the timing is 11.533s. Hope this clarifies the difference in timing.
More detailed reasoning is that pressing play again and starting from main menu both involve you tapping/clicking to start the run, so that's where you have to add the 1.2 seconds. using yt-frame-timer I get 10.333s as the timing, adding 1.2s onto that.
Whoops, will fix that. Must've been an accident when copying over timing rules from 5000m. Thanks for letting me know!
I'm unable to select Quest3 as well. Created a bug report and will update the submission once it's fixed.
After some quick research, I've found that they are indeed official versions, but either no longer exist (seems to be taken down from the Microsoft Store years ago) or I cannot find playable official versions of them (Web version seemed to be a Facebook game?). PC is already a platform, but Web on the other hand from my experience, might lead to people submitting runs of random unofficial recreations of the game, which I would rather avoid.
@ak00mah That would be precisely what the 1 Badge category is.
@Lando_Blando If the game officially released on Web, I'd be happy to add it. Otherwise, I would like to refrain from adding unofficial releases.
@Tezca Will give it some thoughts, I would like to implement it properly if it does get added.
I won't be adding any more additional platforms for clones. Allowing Web as an "official" platform is already a bit of a stretch, and I would rather not push it further than that.
Gonna be real, really don't feel like discussing this more than necessary so I'll just add the platform.
It feels rather excessive to count the Arcade version as being an actual release (despite it being an actual licensed game from .Gears). Additionally it wouldn't fit under any of the categories, as it is not the original mobile release, it's not an unofficial clone and has different physics and bigger gaps. Adding a whole new category for just a few potential arcade runs seems kind of ridiculous for the scope of this leaderboard.
This might sound confusing, but any version of flappy bird played through a web browser is by definition a clone, no matter how close to the original it is. It never officially got a web browser release and therefore cannot be labeled as original game. Hope this clears some things up. If you're looking to do an original game submission, the apk file can be found in the resources section.
Just now getting to them, verification queue for other games have been busy. Will reach out via SRC messages regarding your other submissions as they can't be verified just yet due to issues with the video proof.
Not currently looking for any additional help at the moment, but thank you for offering.
As far as I'm aware, runs based on medals were tried in the past and it wasn't very interesting. You can see in this thread from 2 years ago: https://www.speedrun.com/flappybird/forums/rhksd that speedrunning just doesn't work with this game.
