Here's my pilot run about it. I'm thinking there should also be a glitchless version but I'm too lazy right now after many tries beating my own score :P
I setup a server for the forums, so that we can keep in contact in a more direct way. :)
Hey everyone, Arkl1te here!
Not so long ago I submitted a request for the game entitled in this post (OMF2097). Tbh I was not expecting the game to be accepted, more if I didn't get any notification through email at all, I abandoned hope before the chance was still there... but after I revisited my run published in youtube, I received a comment explicitly saying that the game got accepted.
I was amused, hyped even. Shit got real! :POGGERS:
Now, thing is that I'm very new regarding speedruns. It is not THAT simple to get to understand the interface and where things are tweaked at all. I was hoping there could be a guide posted in the forums regarding how to use the things, and in what order is recommended. I don't know where to start besides editing the theme (I happen to be a front-end dev too).
The reason I wanted to open a speedrun of this game, is that it's a rough diamond, lost in the deep sea of MS-DOS games. It has lots of potential, the plot, the idea of improving your robot AND pilot as you go through tournaments, even hidden features and challenges that makes the game more interesting... and I was somewhat surprised that nobody attempted to submit a request about this game, given the gap between release date and today. Who knows, maybe someone requested before and got declined for whatever reason, that's what I thought at first, but not this case though! :D
So yeah, as of right now I'm trying to set up everything to see those runs coming!
