my famicom is modded so it can output video and audio signals to rca instead of rf cable
as of now there's no specific approval for such mod in the rules, maybe it's time to specifically allow it?
I've spent some time and money to find 60hz rf input compatible tv sets and to my dismay found none
I believe this is a strictly regional issue since we had secam in our crt tv era
and I do think that there are more gamers in situation like mine that just don't bother with specific rules and upload their runs as if it's OK, but really I'm just speculating
please assist as I do want to use my famicom to run the game
there's a "1-1 as Fire Mario" category in category extensions, closest to what you're talking about https://www.speedrun.com/smbce?h=1-1_as_Fire_Mario
Wow that's great! However, fds2nes is not on the approved hardware list, probably that's why I haven't found the cart before.
The most accurate and accessible alternative to the latest everdrive for playing fds games that I've found is this set:
- famicom - cheap
- fds ram adapter - also cheap
- fdsstick - around $30
Doesn't game loop after each level, not just after 6? A bit unsure about the difference
Dendy is a crazy beast, playing 60Hz carts and producing 50Hz output. Something like that just won't comply with most of this site's games and categories.
If there was a button we could press that would change all the times and add +0.166 I would say we press the button, but unfortunately it's not that easy.
If it's about having a magic button - it should be possible to automate the task with selenium
@RealRemnant If you die or game over it's just a big time loss so many people prefer to reset. Nothing holds you back from going on with the run, it's not like the run will be invalidated.
is this a legit run?
