First post ever on this site. Sorry if I'm doing anything wrong.

I was streaming This last night with some friends, and I managed to accidentally Skip the Carnival Night Act 2 Boss by transforming into Super Sonic right before the fight started. The screen scrolled too far making the egg capsule visible. Hitting it caused the score tally to start, and skipped the post-boss scene with the cannon.

I did some googling but couldn't find any other mention of this glitch, so I figured I'd post it here. I'll post a clip as soon as the video finishes processing.

Yours is probably faster. The knuckles route bypasses a huge chunk of the level.

That said, apparently the "Transform as you enter the boss arena" trick can be used in Ice cap as well. Wouldn't be surprised if it's viable in other levels as well.

Yeah, I'd assume this glitch works on any level with a capsule behind a boss arena So HCZ/MGZ-Knuckles/CNZ/ICZ/SPZ(?) probably all work

I don't think it works in Mushroom Hill due to how the boss is, and it might not work in Sandopolis since Eggman gets in the way anyway, but I guess it's worth trying

Edit: Somehow forgot about Flying Battery, but that one locks the screen horizontally way earlier than would be possible anyhow, so I doubt it would work either

I tried like 10 times doing the glitch in HCZ but either its frame perfect or very difficult to pull off since i didn't get the capsule in that zone.

CNZ and ICZ are confirmed places that the glitch works. It even works in LBZ, it's easier to get in on the other side of Eggman in his Ball Shooter form. Not sure if its possible to touch the Eggmobile to skip the boss entirely.
