Painting% as some of your already know, is a fast paced speedrun category where you start in metro (fastest proven) and end when the screen goes black after going through the sand kingdom painting on the pillar (i created it btw). i think it should be on the CE leaderboards beacause 3 people have made verifiable runs it and more want to as I've seen. but Im not sure if we should have physical/digital subcats since there is a large amount of time lost (15 seconds) between loads for physical players.

Without warping, you need to do the letters glitch and be realy precise, I dont know about any other method for it... oh, well, true, maybe the CRC, I wasnt think that xd

With warping, just stupid and no a good category, there is nothing in that case

can you please clarify when time starts and stops? its not entirely obvious right now as someone who has not previously heard of this category.

also presumably it starts from a completed any% file?

Travis ran it and I was a fan of it at first... however it seems to get stale with the amount of downtime involved and the potential inconsistency of load times

By the way, he also take a moon from the island of luncheon kingdom Anybody know why he have to lost time doing that and for what he do it? Is needed yes or yes to do it? Cause he actualy only do in luncheon, in others like for example mushroom or mushroom, where also are just above (well maybe not as much in mushroom, but yeah), doesnt do it

1. I know from experience that you need to wait a little bit before you can open the map after you leave the painting. Collecting the moon might have stopped that delay in some kingdoms. But idk.
2. It really doesn't matter what order you do the paintings, since it just changes the order of the speedrun, and doesn't really lose any time.
3. Yes, you could probably use the Jaxi.

In all case, I actualy an improvised one 4:55 (remember me to SMB1 lul) Nice for a first run (first without count the stupids attempts of metro yeah xdxd) The most timelost consist on that I doent use the swon trick Happy of sub5 :) :D

Seems like a lot of CE people are in disagreement with this category in the discord server. Discussion should be moved over there now that there's more people involved.
