Hi folks! With update 2.00 for Banana Rumble arriving tomorrow, the mod team wants to let y'all in on our leaderboard plan for the incoming content! As written by Dead Line in our Discord server, our plans are as follows:

RTA

The speedrun.com page for Banana Rumble has been updated with all necessary info for Ver. 2.00. Runs on current patch, both for new and old categories, will be immediately accepted once the patch drops. All pertinent categories will be added to both SRC and SMB Elite, including:

• Ultimate World
• Banana Bonus Time Attack
• Updated All Stages category

In Ver. 2.00, All Stages will now include Ultimate World in addition to the World Tour runs. We will also be opening an all new misc. category: Legacy Categories. Here, you will find the All Stages (Ver. 1.X) subcategory, which is where any existing All Stages runs will be moved to. Should any categories see significant changes like this in the future, their outdated counterparts and runs will be moved under Legacy Categories for preservation.

We don't have a plan for Super Speed categories at the moment, as we're waiting on more information and seeing if Super Speed will have in-game support for Time Attack. We will make a call on this after the patch arrives!

The next section is about ILs and doesn't pertain to the speedrun.com page, but for the sake of transparency and so this information is available outside the Discord server, I'll post it here anyway:

ILs

Due to the sheer quantity of charts being added in this patch, we will once again be imposing a brief embargo period for ILs. During this period, no new IL submissions will be accepted. Not only will this allow us to get everything prepared for submissions within the Discord server and on SMB Elite, but the timing will also align to give time to those who celebrate Thanksgiving. The embargo period will take effect immediately upon the release of Ver. 2.00, and will last until December 1st @ 12:00 AM ET. IL submissions will be accepted after this date, and each runner must only submit no more than 25 submissions per day. Any submissions that exceed the daily limit will be ignored, so please pace yourselves and only submit your very best times!

At the moment, we have also decided on prohibiting the use of Monkey See for ILs (sorry). Any submissions that use this rule will be rejected due to how much the camera obfuscates gameplay.

We'll be working to have all new charts up on SMB Elite as soon as possible, which includes Super Speed variants for all 200 base stages, as well as the 20 brand new Ultimate World stages (and their Super Speed variants). Once the patch drops, we ask that you hold off on submitting to SMB Elite until the embargo ends and all necessary information has been added to the site.
