I was still not being able to get under 1:17... then I had the thought to check TSC and sure enough dashjump's 1:11.43 has a comment on his post with the deleted video: "Using CC seems slightly faster."
From my testing the only way CC can get you near these times is with CCG.
There is no video of prior CCG routes of this stage. It may be the same, it may not be.
