Hi im confused about some of the speed runs on maiden voyage. the category is glitchless but it looks like the top people are using glitches/exploits that got patched or fixed. normally you cant raise the anchor with out doing the stuff with the pirate lord but people fires a blunder at their own mast to skip all his dialog and skipping all of the island. rare has said they never intended people to shot their own ships and it has since been fixed. could we get those moved to the glitch category or a prior update for theirs. it makes those records impossible to beat since i cant do the same glitches theses days.
hello, it's still possible to beat them because you can use the harpoon glitch to raise anchor

Im just really confused on why a glitch is allowed on a glitchless run specially since its a glitch thats been fixed. there is a second category for glitchless and its empty. I started getting back into timing my stuff but seeing impossible times because people breaks the rule makes me not want to attempt it again.
Aighto, we've discussed this and agree. There doesn't need to be a glitch/glitchless category. The tl;dr for why is that we don't mind minor tricks or glitches that can be compensated for/don't outright break the game.
In our rules we state that any of the peter pan bugs or flight are not allowed. That's where we are drawing the line on this one. Cheers.
