Ghost Ship Skip
This is a very consistent glitch used to skip the ghost ship, saving around 1:40 of game time. It was also discovered by accident :P
I was wondering if there'd be a way to skip the ship. This could potentially save a LOT of time! I'll get to practicing.

I wonder if there's any similar skips anywhere? I know that it's possible to glitch thru walls in the second Coral Cave room, but I have yet to find a practical use for it. Could it be possible to skip the door?
I have tried to skip the doors in the volcano area, but It seems whenever the game has a door they don't want you to pass, they have a giant invisible wall blocking you, even if you go out of bounds. So skipping the blue door has proven to be currently impossible when I tried too. Hopefully this will change in the future.
But could you please share the OOBs in Coral Cave Room 2 so I can experiment and see if any time save is possible.
stuff I'm working on:
-I have found a way to make it through all but one room in the volcano area without sandy (It's the candle room, but it has a changing box), but I don't know how much time it would save, if any at all....(it involves the wrongwarp glitch)
-and some better movement on certain rooms. (posted below)
Miscellaneous Time saves
The Time saves:
- Using start to skip cutscenes rather than mashing "A" ( NewGame+ Only :/ )
- Atlantis Room 2 Better Route
- Volcano Time Save
I think it's safe to say sub 1:06:30 is VERY MUCH possible :)
So Sandy can cross that first gap. Yeah, that's a MUCH easier and faster route. I actually figured out a faster-than-previous route earlier but didn't do a run yet, but it was only for the second half of the room. As for the fire thing, interesting, and definitely a better strategy than before.

Run Killer: I did an Any% Run on Monday, and I somehow made it possible to make the King Jellyfish invulnerable/stuck: (Trigger warning)
The Run died and (with bad inputs at the Clock Fight and a 2-cycle Plankton) was on 1:05:xx for the first half: (~5-10sec Volcano Time Save)
SOB will be ~1:03:45 soon and sub1:05:00 barely possible! @NinjastarReviewForum the Ship Skip saves around :50 of a speedrun
Interesting, my original theory on the glitch was that it seems you somehow pushed king jellyfish out of bounds and the boxes you threw afterward hit the invisible walls, but the boxes are clearly shown hitting king jellyfish but no damage is output. This is definitely something we'll have to look out for when we do runs. Thanks for finding this :) !
(BTW if you get stuck in the room with the chest during Ghost Ship Skip it's faster to just pause and hit restart)
Lantern Room Time Save: The time save opportunity for this one isn't as much using the whole thing, but taking parts of this and using them in a run.
