nht category replacement?

NHT was originally meant to be a version of glitched but without any glitches that save incredible amounts of time and skip tons of stages. Now that 16 -> 24 and 26 -> 50 have both been found, skipping ~35 stages, and making NHT almost identical to glitched, should this category be replaced with a better ruleset? If so, what should the ruleset be?

Some ideas i have: -No Major Skips (nms) disallows the skipping of more than 1 stage with a single trick, and bans the level selection menu from use in a run (to prevent momentum transfer and small hinge teleports)

-100% (or maybe Skipless) requires touching every checkpoint on the way to the goal checkpoint. also bans the level selection menu for similar reasons

It should be a category where you can't use the arrow buttons at the top.

proposed new ruleset -glitches are fine -no skipping more than 1 stage in a row (note that "skipping" doesn't mean not getting a checkpoint, it means actually skipping the obby and challenge surrounding it) -no using the level selection menu

Does this mean that you cannot skip stages (skipping stages meaning you bypass checkpoints into other stages without using the level selection menu) in NHT category? Or does it just mean that you cannot use level selection menu only? If it does mean you cannot use level selection, you should come up with a new name for the category rather than no hinge teleports. Like NLSM for no level selection menu, which is what I hope this post means rather than you having to get every checkpoint in the game.

it would likely be called NMS for No Major Skips it's not 100%, skipping a stage in this ruleset means skipping the actual obby of the stage rather than skipping the checkpoint

NMS is a great idea, as level 2 is now basically the only level you need to go to. Also, skipless is almost the same as glitchless, basically a tiny bit slower, but it might be interesting.

i think i'll implement 100%, and add on the No Level Select restriction. its a good idea, some dont like how you need to get every checkpoint, but it's a good way to make the speedrun not be terribly short while still having a clearly defined ruleset. and its not like anyone plays this game anymore.

i really do like the idea of NMS, but you cant really define what that exactly... means. so to keep everything consistent it wont exist. sorry!

NHT runs which violate the new 100% NLS rules will be placed into glitched. if they dont violate the 100% NLS rules, they'll go to 100% NLS.
