Run after run, I kept suffering from bad RNG; and the run right before this one was maybe the worst of all. I couldn't hit anything, every fight (even Rocky) was a slow, slow slog until the fourth fight just killed me outright and put me out of my misery.
This run was finally the opposite. Fights were quick, and I got the monsters I needed spawning very quickly. The only real slowdowns were the brigand (which was in large part my own fault for completely mismanaging my vigor pill, though the RNG rolling the scorpion did not help) and Khaveen's absolute and abject refusal to disarm me (but I was running against silly-good RNG, so losing 5-10 seconds on the split would have been expected in spite of the misplayed Leeroy on my old PB). Definitely still very beatable, and absolutely expect David to get this WR back, but happy that the RNG finally let one through. Did not have much input loss on this run either, unlike many of my other runs today :)
Played in DOSBox 0.74, 10000 cycles.
