Thanks for recent moderation/verification.

Just wanted to offer a suggestion for Categories (since SRC moderation rules discourage use of % for things besides Any%, Low% and 100%).

Perhaps have "Easy-Hard (Any% - Mouse)" and "Easy-Hard (Any% - Controller)

Or just "Easy-Hard (Controller)" and "Easy-Hard (Mouse)" since Any% isn't required.

Furthermore, you may want to add a variable for the type of mouse in the mouse category (Hyperkin/Laser) vs. (Original/Ball Mouse) as that could also create differences in performance.

You can see an example below for another mouse game (although mods here just used variable for everything to distinguish controller type):

Hello, I've recently started learning the speedrun for this game. I started grinding this hard at AGDQ 2020 and am down to a low 14-minute time on E-H Any%, but since it was at AGDQ, obviously these were unrecorded attempts, so I'm gonna start working on getting some times and submissions soon.

I was actually thinking about this while I was at AGDQ, and I am wondering of the possibilities of categories for the "All-Play" mode. In this mode, you play through 8 puzzles of different sizes for each theme (animals, land-sea, fighter planes, etc.) and you can play this mode with one, two, three, four, or five players. When I was younger, because I was a strange kid who would get obsessed with the most mundane of things, I used to time myself and see how long it would take me to beat each category, so naturally, was wondering if leaderboards could be created for this mode/each of the All-Play categories.

Obviously these could be seen as less interesting than the main speedrun, just because there are no CPU opponents, no items, and much less randomness as a result, but still, it was something I was thinking about during my week at AGDQ. Could even be variations of 1-Player leaderboards vs. multiplayer leaderboards, if we wanted to go that customizable, lol.

Hey guys, sorry it took me so long to realize that there were even forum posts here.

@sYn, I think your thoughts are great ideas, and I've gone ahead to try an implement them (we'll see if it actually worked or not). I don't know that I would split the mouse categories further, by distinguishing the Lazer style from the Ball style, so we'll see how it goes for now with that extra variable, like the Mario's Early Years! mods did.

@SlimKirby, I think that new category does sound interesting. I'd be interested in seeing a run for it first though, before creating a new category for it and it being left empty for a while.

Great! I appreciate the follow-up!

It looks like it worked, the only thing you may want to do is uncheck SNES Mouse as default variable this way if someone loads up the leaderboard without adjusting the filters, they will see runs for Any mouse type (for example your hyperkin mouse run doesn't get shown by default unless I adjust the filter).

Oh, awesome! I was wondering how I fixed that. I'm glad that it shows all of them by default now. Thanks for the help with that sYn!
