Just did some simple testing after today's update and it seems that ILs now cannot be played in the same way. Previously, mashing the continue button would allow for a player to advance to the next hole practically immediately after a hole is completed; now, this isn't possible. The game loads a scorecard after every hole that prevents continuation until it is visible on screen, which loses roughly 1.5 seconds per hole by my best guess (need more testing though). I'm 99% sure that that means all the IL times on the board are now virtually untouchable, with the exception of a 4:21 TPC River Highlands that I got a couple days ago and a couple more that have yet to be verified.

This update is likely a non-issue for full game due to the leaderboard showing a similar loss every hole.

Well this sucks was just about too start running this game and take a shot at these.... But idk if it's even worth it anymore.... That's a bummer.... So there's no way to turn this off in the settings? Are these runs basically dead now?

Compared to all the times on the board, there's roughly about 30 seconds lost from scorecard loading per round and it's unavoidable. Given that I think most times were within 20 or so seconds of the best possible time as of the update, I don't think it's realistic to get any new WR times with how the boards are set up now. Maybe we could split the leaderboard based on update version? It's a different speed game now anyway.

What do you mean by different speed game now? And yeah I'm if there's really anything we would be able to do but make a different categorie for the new update but it doesn't seem like this is ran that much anymore anyways

Eh I'm just being overdramatic, it isn't functionally different except for being plenty slower. Also, it hasn't ever been too populated with a bunch of different runners, sometimes it's been just me for a month or two.

I would put pre-update and post-update times for catagoried or however its put together

And that's why I don't usually update my games. Nice to know the latest 2K21 update messed up load times. I can take that into consideration if I consider taking a break from Tiger Woods series and try running this game.

This was over a year ago, by now there's enough strategy improvements that the top runner, MapCollector, is able to reach all of the beginner ILs from back then. Many of the categories never even had a run before the update anyway.

Another issue is that HB are notorious for shadow patches which makes it difficult to even know when gameplay changes that could affect runs happen. The red fast nerf and later buff from last year are other examples of changes that made differences for speedruns on pro/legend.
