Hey everybody,

I am currently in the process of learning this game and I got a few questions while making notes and practicing.

Persona stat growth: I know you are min/maxing certain Personas in order for them to grow certain stats. Are there any Personas that absolutely need a +2 on a certain stat in order to continue? (meaning you have to reload if you get a +1) Is there any way to ensure a +2 (other than getting only a single stat upgrade when fusing) or is it RNG?

EXP route: This is especially tricky in Kamoshida's palace. The thing here is to net get too much exp from random fights/ambushes in order to gain a certain amount of exp from forced/other intentional fights because exp is based off the difference between your and the enemies level correct?

I am still in the process of finishing my notes/practice so I might update this every once in a while if any questions come up. Also is there a discord for Persona speedruns or something?

1. Few spots I can recall is Matador needs +1 to speed and the rest to Strength/Luck to be able to easily outspeed enemies, same with Leana-Sidhe except she wants Magic instead of Strength. The rest, from what I can recall, are pure preference coming more down to dishing out the most damage possible. The next closest one, that I can think of, would be Titania wanting magic during her leveling and boosts in the Velvet room. There's also other ones like Jack Frost wanting Magic so you deal more damage during Yusuke's awakening, Sandman wanting Luck for money farming sections, Succubus wanting more magic to deal more damage to Nue, etc. There's a few spots where points are advised, but the rest is just logical stats approach. It's also RNG.

The EXP route isn't ¤too¤ tight persay. It's no Persona 4 (PS2), for example. EXP in the game scales, but seen as how you finish Kamoshida's dungeon at LV9, you usually get the full extent of the exp from Archangel anyway. You don't have to necessarily follow the EXP route perfectly, but just stay generally on it. Early on you can get away with quite a few extra fights and still be on the EXP route. It's more important that all the necessary sections where the EXP Glitch is performed are executed successfully.
