Changes To Video Requirements And Emulator Loading Times
Geplaatst 2 years ago door

Hi everyone, please read below for information regarding some important changes to video proof and emulator timing.

As of September 12th 2022, runs for all categories will require video proof to be verified on the leaderboard. Previously video proof was only required for Any% runs, however we are now extending this to all categories to ensure the video proof requirements are consistent across all leaderboards. Any runs verified without video proof prior to this change will remain verified.

Recently we discovered that different emulator versions have different loading times to one another. Because of this, the amount of time added on to runs in the "Time with loads" column will now be different depending on which emulator version a run was performed on. The amount of time to add on for each category and version can be found in the category rules tabs. Additionally, we now require the emulator version to be included in either the video or description of emulator submissions. This is to ensure the correct amount of time has been added on to your run.

Currently, the changes to emulator timing only effects runs performed on DeSmuMe 0.9.13. However some 0.9.13 runs may have already been verified with the now incorrect loading time added on. So if you have any verified runs performed on DeSmuMe 0.9.13, please check that the time in the "Time with loads" column is correct. If this time is now wrong, please message the mods so that your time can be fixed. Do not resubmit any runs that have already been verified as they may get rejected due to submitting a duplicate run.

The rules tabs have already been updated with this information. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on the forums or in our Discord server.
