The WR route uses a lot of tricks that beginners or even intermediate players may find difficult. This "beginners" route is largely the same as the WR route, but removes the most difficult tricks. Here are the main differences:

1. Do Frigate inbounds (avoids Frigate wallcrawl)
2. Get Wave normally and use IS to get sun (replaces Wave/Sun wallcrawl/IS)
3. Do far Chozo inbounds (avoids ice beam IBBFAF)
4. Fight Thardus to get Spider Ball (avoids spiderless shafts)
5. Get Newborn after getting Phazon Suit (avoids ENB wallcrawl)

The great thing about this route is that as you increase in skill, you can add these tricks without having to modify your route at all. It's generally recommended that the order players should learn these tricks and incorporate them into runs is spiderless shafts --> Wave/Sun --> IBBFAF --> frigate wallcrawl --> early newborn.
