How to speedrun Midnight Race Club: Supercharged 

--BUGS IN THE GAME--

-  Sometimes when the game closes, the executable remains running in the background. Use Task Manager or Process Hacker to find and kill this process.
- Nightride WILL crash the game when loaded, so you must play it last in order to complete the speedrun.

--Recording Gameplay--

The game plays in full-screen. You can change this to windowed (800x600). The file to change to windowed is in the root directory of Big Rigs (file is called SCENE3D.INI). You can copy/paste that file into the root directory of Midnight Race Club. There are 5 arguments (numbers) separated by spaces. By default, this will be "800 600 32 0 1"

- The first number (800) represents the width.
- The second number (600) represents the height.
- The third number (32) represents the color depth of the game. DO NOT change this value.
- The fourth number (0) represents windowed mode. Change this to 1, as it will make load times slightly faster and Windows 10 will behave with it as of recent updates.
- The fifth number (1) tells the game to actually make it into a windowed view. Setting this to 0 makes the game unable to boot.

**NOTE:** You may not be able to save SCENE3D.INI due to permissions. You can change this in the file's settings.

--Speedrunning Tips--

- Start on Small Town Road.
- Nightride works *only* if you choose to race it first before any others. Since it is a copy of Small Town Road, you do NOT race it when doing All Courses.
- Lamborghini vehicle does not work; causes game to crash.
- Driving in reverse is doable but the camera makes it very difficult to know where you are going.
- Whereas space is a reverse in Big Rigs, it is a brake and will cause your truck to decelerate to 0 mph quickly. The only reverse control is the Down Arrow.
- When going in reverse, letting go of Down Arrow causes the vehicle to come to an immediate stop. To go less fast in reverse, hold Up Arrow while holding Down Arrow as well. Then let go of Down Arrow but keep pressing down Up Arrow.
- Going up a steep hill in forward causes the vehicle to immediately stop. However, you can go up any hill, regardless of steepness, in reverse.

--Other Information--

- Load times entirely depend on the speed of your RAM and the quality of your CPU. Upgrading RAM does not improve load times.
