I downloaded 1.7.2 but I get absolutely 0 sound. In texture packs it says that the default is "Missing pack.mcmeta".
I tried 1.7.3 and had no issue. Other versions even older ones (like 1.2.4) don't have this problem.
Also tried deleting the entire .minecraft folder and re-downloading it but had no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi, I believe this is a known Minecraft bug with the new launcher. You can use the alternative old launcher here: https://minecraft.net/en-us/download/alternative
If I recall correctly, this bug does not occur in certain 1.7 versions (1.7.5 is functional, I believe). You can give those a go if you want.
