Hello! Although this may already be in the works by the mods, I have started development on a speedrun client. This client incorporates all of the features of the allowed mods (sodium, lithium, phosphor, motioNO, etc), along with a "cheat breaker" of sorts, and I have some questions about some things the community would want to be added to this client.
- What quality of life mods would you want to be added (such as a built-in timer, borderless Minecraft, etc. All of these should fit into the rules so it has a chance of becoming official.)
- Would you want a separate launcher, or the default MC one? (Do you want a separate speedrun client-only program to launch Minecraft with?)
- Any other additions you would like to see
Please keep in mind that a am NOT a moderator and I have not worked with ANY moderators, so there is no guarantee of them accepting this as an allowed mod in any way. They may already have one in development. Also, just because you suggest something does not mean it will be added into the mod, I just want some ideas. Lastly, if your idea does get added to the mod, you will be credited. Thanks!
I would highly recommend that u join the discord and speak with the moderators. Id hate for this client to go unused if ur putting in this effort. U might as well join in to help with their speedrun client as well
Okay, do you know the specific people working on it that way I can get in contact with them?
Make it so that it shows how long each pause was so the mods can only add pauses that should count in the time and retime all runs easily. If they add some sort of penalty system you can make that automatic as well.
Join the discord and ask to talk to the people relevant with projects like these, such as closet witch. From what I hear, there is already such a client in advanced development - so it would be wiser for you to pool your knowledge and get a standardised version of this out better and faster.
BivanBlaze, from what I'm hearing, they already are developing one, and now I'm trying to see if a can join the dev team, if that does not work out, then I will give out a beta link for people to test out in 3-5 weeks.
