This is the World Record run of The Great Giana Sisters (With Warps) for the Amiga as of August 13th, 2024.

Liveplit shows 6:20.01 but I retimed the run to be anywhere between:

6:19.850 (optimistic) and 6:19.966 (extremely pessimistic). As of now, the rules aren't 100% clear about when the run truly starts and ends, but it is guaranteed that the final time is within that range. Confirmed with VLC that it is a guaranteed 6:19 and measured using avidemux.

Most likely the true time is: 6:19.917

This run includes the new route change developed by mikeSpeedyAdventures who got a 6:27 time with this route. This route comes with a lot of changes, but is about twice as hard as the old route (WR with old route was 6:22). I estimate that this route saves around 2.5 seconds.

Summarizing what's possible using the current knowledge we have:

My 6:16 sum of best is off due to splitting accuracies.

6:17 should be the theoretical limit.

6:18 is what I consider the practical limit and would require an incredibly precise and perfected run.

Notable mistakes:

Stage 6 - small bonk (0.3 sec)

Stage 16 - tiny slow down at the start (0.2 sec)

Stage 21 - small bonk on the pillar (0.3 sec) but this jump is frame perfect I believe (one frame too early collects a diamond which you want to avoid due to score skip, one frame too late bonks)

Death Warps 22/25/28 i took safe, (between 0.3 and 0.5 sec total)

Notable things about this run / the route:

Stage 9: perfect jump over the pillars - no slowing down even without the water drop upgrade

Stage 32: stopping the fish with the timer upgrade in order to save time compared to the old route
