Challenge 21: Chapter 2 Cloakroom Challenge Skip

So there is a way to get through the cloakroom without waking any of the coats up and without the need of the Invisibility can, which also means you don't have to do the challenge!

Chapter 3 - Krackpot's Lab Skip

The name is self-explanatory. This trick allows you to go out of bounds and make it to the end level trigger, without having to complete the challenge. This saves at least 20 seconds compared to a very good normal route (Seen in the comparison video below) which rarely happens, because this is arguably the most difficult room in the game. Compared to an average normal route, this saves 30+ seconds!  

The setup for this trick is simple enough but getting it is difficult and not super consistent: 

First you need to get spotted by a Jessie & Clyde (Make sure you don't get spotted by the other two, otherwise it will make this very difficult).  As soon as you see it turn red go left into the side room and run to the right side of the large table, keeping an eye on the Jessie & Clyde you woke up to make sure it's fairly close to you.  If the telephone on the table goes off, quickly scare cancel and run back.

At this point the Jessie & Clyde will stop for a second then start running towards you, as soon as it stops you need to quickly line Cooper up next to the bottom right leg of the wooden stool (It could also be the bottom right leg, depending on how you look at it). This will make the Jessie & Clyde stop quite a bit away from you and initiate an attack, for this trick we need it to do it's scream + throw attack.  If it's starts it's other attack, immediately run away until it calms down then go back to the wooden stool. 

 (If you're too far to the right or left, the Jessie & Clyde will come right up to Cooper which is bad).

This is the difficult part of the trick: As soon as Cooper is in the scared state go right and line Cooper up with the corner of the large table and move forward just a tiny bit (Image of correct spot below). If you're in the correct place the Jessie & Clyde will attempt to throw Cooper towards the freezers in the other room but instead he'll hit a solid wall and land out of bounds!

(This however is what makes this trick inconsistent, because the spot you need to be standing in is very precise and it's hard to get in the short amount of time you have to get there)

Once you're out of bounds line Cooper up with the end wall of the side room, then go forward. This part is scary as if you are too far to the right you'll fall and die and if you're too far to the left you'll clip back in-bounds. On top of this the Jessie & Clyde will start coming after you. Once you're on the other side go to where the challenge door is and run behind it.

This trick is very risky but rewarding so it's up to you as to whether or not you go for this trick in a speedrun. If you do decide to go for it, I recommend attempting it at least once or twice and if you don't get it just go for the normal route.

1. Grand Hallway
Complete the challenge as normal

- [Requires more testing for consistency] Stand where the butler spawns before the challenge complete animation plays, to cancel Cooper's victory animation afterwards.


2. Trophy Room
You will either get 3 or 4 scary shocks in this room, getting 4 loses about 5 seconds

- First Super Scary Shock sequence will always be A,A,A,A
- Second Super Scary Shock sequence will be any combination of A + B (AABB | AAAB | ABAB | BABA)
- Third Super Scary Shock sequence will be any combination of A + B + X (ABAX | ABBX |AABX |ABXX)
- Fourth Super Scary Shock sequence will be any combination of A + B + X + Y (Example: ABXY, XBYA, AXYB, YAXB)

3. Billiard Room I
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

4. Gaming Room I
Ignore the Imps and complete the challenge as normal

- The key will always spawn in the box with the Xbox logo, located near the challenge door

5. Billiard Room II
Grab the pool cue in the far left-hand corner as you go into the room, and go towards the door.

- For the first 3 skeletons break the pool cue and instead grab the trophy and try to hit all 3 for quick kills. If any miss then just kill them with standard attacks.
- For the 5 skeletons that spawn after, hit all 5 of them using the billiards table. Missing any is a big time loss.
   - The skeleton that spawns last (He'll be to the left of the trophy cabinet) will sometimes take a second to get in range of the billiard table, so wait a second before using the billiard table.
      - This particular skeleton will, on occasion, not move at all and not be in range so I recommend standing under the painting he jumps out of before he spawns to see where he goes. If he is standing on the raised part of the floor, he's out of range.   

6. Lower Corridors
"Scare Cancel" the telephone scare and spiders that jump out the vases. Go through the open door as normal.

- The telephone scare is unavoidable but by waggling both thumbsticks side to side, Cooper will recover much quicker

7. Cinema
"Scare Cancel" the ghoulies that jump through the window, go through the room as normal

8. Gaming Room II (May test this room for potential timesave?)
Grab the gold vase in the left corner behind where you spawn, line it up with the chairs to destroy as many as possible before the challenge begins. Leave the single Haunted Chair that's alive and instead break all the remaining chairs before killing the Haunted Chair.

- Use the TV to one hit kill the Haunted Chair

9. Basement
Ignore all the spiders and proceed through the room, collecting both "Turbo Cooper" cans and grabbing the cardboard box on the way. Kill the Mummy that spawns at the end and proceed.

- The first "Turbo Cooper" can is located in the right-hand corner, just as you enter the 2nd room.
- The second "Turbo Cooper" is located in the room after the large room with the spiders, in the right-hand corner between the green crate and large steel object

- For the Mummy throw the box at it and get it into a corner, then attack until you are given the candle weapon. Attacking it with the candle whilst the mummy is not on the ground ("Mid-air" | "Sliding down the wall") will do double damage, killing it in 2 hits rather than 3. 

10. Relic Store
Very RNG dependant room. The sarcophagus the mummy jumps out of determines the spawn locations of the other mummies for the challenge. Kill the mummy that jumped out to start the challenge, collect the "Super Weapons" can that's closest to you and complete the challenge as normal.

- 1st, 2nd and 3rd sarcophagus is good, 4th is ok, 5th and 6th is bad.
- There's two "Super Weapons" cans, one located near the door you came into the room through and one in the bottom right-hand corner of the room (When facing the challenge door). Go for whichever is closer to you when the challenge begins

11. Ye Olde Archives
Nothing noteworthy, collect the "Turbo Cooper" can ahead of you and go through the open door as normal.

12. Cellar
Collect the "One-Hit Wonder" can that's just behind you on the right, from where you spawn. Quickly proceed to the exit and kill the door before "One-Hit Wonder" expires.

1. Kitchen I
Collect the "Turbo Cooper" and "Super Weapons", then defeat all the Fire Imps

2. Scullery I
Grab the giant pot and head towards the door to initiate the challenge, throw the pot at the Zombie then defeat it

3. Lower Corridors I
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

4. Embassy Ballroom I
Go through the gate onto the ballroom floor, collect the "Turbo Cooper" by breaking the painting on the pillar to your right then "Ballroom Skip" to skip the challenge and exit the room

- "Ballroom Skip" allows us to skip the intended challenge (Defeating all Skeletons and Zombies) entirely, by running behind the Skeleton blocking the exit gate
   - Running behind the Skeleton blocking the exit is very tight, and sometimes you'll run into him and initiate the challenge. This is a huge time loss.
      - [Needs further testing] I've found that running into the corner for just a second and then hugging the rail towards the exit gate works more often than not.
 
5. Conservatory
Immediately go left and grab the flower pot and "Freeze Ghoulies", head back right and defeat the Ninja Imp to initiate the challenge. Defeat the Ninja Imp that spawns by the door you came in then stand by the exit door and wait for the Freeze effect to wear off.

6. Boathouse I
Nothing noteworthy, collect the "Turbo Cooper" ahead of you and go through the open door as normal

- Attacking any of the Zombies in this room will initiate a challenge, resulting in huge time loss so do NOT attack anything.

7. Lighthouse Store I
Destroy the three boxes with the Rare logo on, until you get the key

- Hit them in the order from closest to your starting position to furthest
- Getting caught in a Medusa's vision results in a scary shock QTE sequence, which wastes about 5+ seconds

8. Lighthouse Living Quarters I
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

9. Lighthouse Lantern Room
Nothing noteworthy, go through the room as normal

10. Lighthouse Living Quarters II
Go to the open door to initiate the challenge, then defeat all the Zombies. (Order shown in the video guide)

11. Lighthouse Store II
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

- Getting caught in a Medusa's vision results in a scary shock QTE sequence, which wastes about 5+ seconds

12. Boathouse II
Go left and collect the "Turbo Cooper", run by the window to get the scary shock to spawn (Doesn't always show up) and towards the exit to initiate the challenge. Defeat the Hunchback.

- The quick Hunchback kill requires you to get him on the ground (Covering his face, in this state he'll be invulnerable to damage), run back until he starts to get up. Immediately run back to him as he's getting up and attack him to knock him back down, repeat until he's defeated

13. Dining Room
Collect the "Super Weapons" and head left when you enter the big room, break the grandfather clock and collect the "One-Hit Wonder" that spawns then turn around and run towards where the Pirate Captain is. Grab the pile of Burgers on the table to the left, approach the Captain and throw a burger at him. Defeat the remaining pirates that spawn, all before "One-Hit Wonder" expires.

- Defeating all the Pirates before "One-Hit Wonder" expires is pretty hard to do, this is because the targeting can be weird. Cooper will sometimes throw an object at a defeated enemy (That hasn't de-spawned) rather than a alive enemy that's near it. 
  - Every Pirate that isn't killed after "One-Hit Wonder" expires wastes about 15+ seconds.
   
14. Embassy Ballroom II
Go through the gate onto the ballroom floor, collect the "Turbo Cooper" by breaking the painting on the pillar to your right then "Ballroom Skip" to skip the challenge and exit the room

- This "Ballroom Skip" is much easier than the first one
- A safe strat to ensure you don't accidentally run into an enemy is hugging the wall on the left side of the room.

15. Lower Corridors II
"Scare Cancel" the Ninja Imps that jump out the pots, go through the open door as normal

16. Scullery II
Grab the giant pot and proceed through the room to initiate the challenge. Complete the challenge as normal

- The Zombies AI in this challenge is programmed to run away from you, we can manipulate this to get both of them into a corner and defeat them at the same time to complete the challenge very quickly, before the Imp even spawns. 

17. Kitchen II
Collect the "Turbo Cooper" and walk up to the chef to initiate dialogue, then go through the open door as normal

18. Ffffreezer
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

19. Garbage Yard
Use the bins to defeat the 1st wave of spiders, then for the 2nd wave group them all up and use the dumpster. For the last wave collect the 'Super Weapons' can, grab a weapon and defeat them.

- 2nd wave spawns when the kill counter goes down to 18, sometimes a bin will miss a spider so be ready to throw another.
  - 1st wave Spiders spawn in groups of 3, so the kill count should go 30 > 27 > 24 > 21 > 18
- Defeating the entire 2nd wave in one hit (with the dumpster) will bring the kill count to 6

20. Wood Shed
"Scare Cancel" every Flying Imp that jumps out the logs, and also be ready to scare cancel scary shock spawns.

- Grabbing the 'Invincibility' can is a little bit slower, but much safer as you only have 3 health here (Or 4 if you collect the '1 health' can)

21. Farmyard I
Collect the 'Miniature Cooper' can and run back behind the brick wall just beside the 'Challenge Complete' can but don't collect it yet. Once it kills the Imp and the challenge starts, collect the 'Challenge Complete' can.

22. Chicken Shed
Nothing really noteworthy, get to the egg and complete the challenge as normal.

- Collecting the cans inside the breakable chicken coops just help with survivability

23. Farmyard II
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal.

- Be ready to "Scare Cancel" the scary shock spawn as you pass the brick wall, it doesn't always spawn. Recommend you scare cancel even if it doesn't spawn

24. Workshop
Collect the challenge in this order:
- Defeat Skeleton
- Find the key
- Defeat Mummy
- Defeat Mummy
- Defeat Mummy
- Defeat Mummy
- Grab the giant gold vase and throw it into the furnace (Can do this at any point really)
- Defeat Mummy
- Defeat Mummy

- If a chicken jumps out a vase when looking for the key, defeat that first

25. Lower Corridors III
Attempt the "Dogen Cooper" to skip the scary shock, if you miss just go through the room as normal.

- Yet to find a consistent set-up for this, but going around the left corner as tight as you can seems to help with getting this trick successfully.

26. Pantry
Grab the flour sack and when the 1st challenge begins, throw it at the coat for a quick kill. For the 2nd challenge against the Haunted Door, collect the 'Challenge Complete' can inside the barrel to the left of the locked challenge door

27. Kitchen III
Defeat Mr.Ribs. Refer to the visual guide for the strat.

28. Grand Hallway I
Collect the 'Invisibility' can and go through the open door.

- Using the 'Invisibility' can stops the Haunted Painting from spawning, skipping their intro cutscene.

29. Cloakroom I
Collect the 'Invisibility' can inside the breakable suitcase on the left, and go through the open door.

30. Sitting Room I
Destroy the chair, then complete the challenge as normal.

- Can't seem to find a quick, consistent strat for this room. Something I'll look into in the future

31. Music Room I:
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

32. Walled Garden
Collect the "Dungweed" and go through the open door.

- There's a '5 Health' can on your left where you spawn, loses time collecting it but for safety collect it if you wish.
  - Also killing any enemies will lose abit of time, but is safer.
 
- Watch out for the scary shock on top of the stairs near the open door, be ready to attack as you approach the top.

33. Study
Find the key inside one of the vases to complete the challenge.

- Be careful not to wake up the Jessie & Clyde, otherwise it can get in your way
  - If an Imp jumps out a vase, defeat it immediately otherwise it will attack the Jessie & Clyde.
- Ninja Imps spawn after the challenge completes, try to stop them from attacking the Jessie & Clyde if it hasn't woken up already. Successfully doing so will skip the Jessie & Clyde's intro cutscene, saving quite abit of time. (I've only gotten the cutscene skip once or twice in all the runs I've done, it's difficult - Ashja)

34. Music Room II
Complete the first challenge as normal, then collect the "Challenge Complete" can to skip the Hunchback fight.

- Break the statue on the right as you spawn, this avoids a cursed mummy from spawning. After that go left behind the armchair and break the statue on the ground, the 'Challenge Complete' can will spawn there.
- When the survive timer is close to ending, stand by the challenge door so that when it ends you'll immediately get the cleaner's dialogue and begin the 2nd challenge.
  - Also be sure to collect the 'Turbo Cooper' can inside the statue, to the left of the challenge door.

35. Sitting Room II
As soon as the challenge starts, grab all the paintings in the room and immediately break them. This stops any more from spawning after defeating the first Haunting Painting.

36. Cloakroom II
Nothing really noteworthy, avoid Medusas and go through the open door as normal.

- Hugging the left wall where you spawn will stop Imps from jumping out the chest on the right side of the corridor you spawn in

37. Grand Hallway II
Collect the 'Invisibility' can and go through the open door.

- Using the 'Invisibility' can stops the Haunted Door from spawning, skipping the challenge entirely.

38. Kitchen IV
Defeat all the Fire Imps.

- Leave one Fire Imp to attack the chef so that you can defeat it easily. This is because once you get close to defeating all the Fire Imps the remaining ones will start to run away from you, which can make it harder to attack them thus losing time.
 
39. Cellar
Break the giant keg on the far left corner of the room, collect the 'Freeze Ghoulies' can, then break the giant keg on the bottom right corner of the room, and kill the spider that jumps out.

- Possible without going all the way to collect the 'Freeze Ghoulies' can, but because the Spider runs away from you at a fast pace it makes it annoying to catch and can potentially waste a lot of time.

40a. Ye Olde Archives (Faster Strat)
Defeat 'Ghouly Amber'. Refer to the visual guide for the strat.

- If only one of the cans spawn after throwing the box, collect it and break the box with the other can in. You will likely get hit by Amber just as you collect it but it isn't too much of a time waste.
  - If somehow none of the cans spawn after throwing the box, then just do the 'Safe' strat

- After throwing the bottles, do an attack combo from the side. This ensures that her health is left at a multiple of 10 (Should be 40). If you attack her from the front, sometimes an attack will miss and she'll be left with 1 extra health (41), which means she'll eventually be left with 1 health, and you'll have to waste a second or two doing an extra combo to defeat her.

40b. Ye Olde Archives (Safer Strat)
A safer variant of the Amber fight, it's about 5-10+ seconds slower. Here you don't have to worry about getting both cans to spawn after throwing the box, and no risk of getting hit by Amber at all.

1. Grand Hallway I
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

2. Housekeeping Store I
Just ignore the Ghoulies and find the key, it can be in any of the wardrobes with the Rare logo on it

3. Criven's Quarters
Once the challenge starts turn around and break the vase in the corner, collect "Challenge Complete", after the cutscene just leave

4. Housekeeping Store II
Find the Warlock and defeat him, he can spawn in any of the warorbes with the Rare logo on it

  - In the Visual Guide I've showcased the order of weapons you use for each wardrobe he spawns in, so it ensures you always end the fight right next to the Scary Shock QTE by the exit

5. Grand Hallway II
Nothing noteworthy, collect "Invisiblilty" and go through the open door as normal

6. Upper Corridors
Nothing noteworthy, kill the paintings (As you only have 1 health, this room is dangerous) and go through the open door as normal

7. Bathroom
Turn around and smash the basket to spawn "One-Hit Wonder" and "Turbo Cooper" but don't collect them just yet, instead run towards the exit to start the challenge

After the challenge starts collect "One-Hit Wonder" and "Turbo Cooper" and defeat all the Haunted Coats, then all the Ninja Imps before "One-Hit Wonder" wears off, the timing is fairly tight for this. Kill the Imp to spawn the Skeletons and defeat all of them with the Bathtub

8. Schoolroom
Collect "Invisibility" from the cupboard on the left in the area you spawn in, then head to the exit

9. Infirmary
Collect "Freeze Ghoulies" and "Super Weapons", grab the bottles on the trolley and defeat both Medusas, this will skip the challenge

- Don't get too close to Fiddlesworth here, otherwise you'll trigger his dialogue and you'll have the Water Gun equipped, meaning you can no longer skip the challenge

10. Dunfiddlin Cottage Garden I
Smash the wheelbarrow on the left and collect "Turbo Cooper", head to the exit as normal

11. Greenhouse I
Defeat the Vampire Chicken that spawns closest to the exit door, then leave

12. Potting Room
Shoot the shelves to the right of the riddle piece, complete the first challenge. Once complete collect "Turbo Cooper" and "Invisibility" and head to the exit to start the 2nd challenge, go back to the far right corner of the room and smash the vase there to collect "Challenge Complete"

13. Greenhouse II
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

14. Dunfiddlin Cottage Garden II
Collect the "Turbo Cooper" hidden behind the feed trough and head towards Dunfiddlin Cottage, pick up a stump and throw it at the worm by the gate, this will defeat it in one-hit and skip it's intro cutscene. Head through the gate and complete the challenge. 

   - Don't get too close to the Worm as it'll trigger the intro cutscene
   - You don't need to defeat the Worm in New Game+ as the intro cutscene won't play anyway, so just skip picking up the stump and head straight through the gate 

15. Dunfiddlin Cottage
Break the barrel with the "Invisibility" can but don't collect it just yet, find the Warlock, once the challenge starts break the vase on the shelf by the TV and collect "Challenge Complete".

Grab the TV and collect "Invisibility" can, then run to the exit to start the 2nd challenge. Once it begins throw the TV at the 4 Flying Imps that spawn right behind you and find 2 more Flying Imps to complete the challenge

16. Workshop
Throw both giant gold trophies into the fire and smash the giant steel door, don't collect "Freeze Ghoulies" yet. Start the challenge and begin picking up and immediately breaking all the weapons in the room, starting from the right (Cooper's right when facing the exit door), collecting "Freeze Ghoulies" on the way.

Once all the weapons are destroyed just survive the timer whilst standing by the exit door

17. Farmyard I
Grab the barrel on the left and throw it at the wood chipper, collect "One-Hit Wonder" and "Turbo Cooper" then head to the exit

    - When you're about to get grabbed by the Jessie & Clyde just attack, it seems to make Cooper invulnerable to being grabbed

18. Foundry I
Find the key, check in this order: 

Giant sack immediately to your right upon entering the main area of the room > Giant barrel on the left where you're standing > Giant Sack to the right of the barrel you just smashed > Giant sack on the other side of the room > Giant barrel to the right where you're currently standing

Once complete defeat the Haunted Door using throwable objects.

     - With any Ghoulies that spawn during the first challange, defeat them after finding the key before you begin the 2nd challenge, they'll get in the way

19. Stables
Smash the first barrel after the first wall you smash, then just make your way to the riddle piece and back, picking up "Freeze Ghoulies" and "Turbo Cooper" on the way

- Only kill Fire Imps if you think they'll get in the way, Grim Reaper isn't too hard to dodge if he spawns (Though this depends where you are when Grim reaches you)

20. Foundry II
Break the objects as shown in the visual guide to have 4 Imps following you (don't defeat any of them yet), break the crates near the exit door and head to the exit to start the challenge

Defeat an Imp to have another spawn from the broken crate, dfeat the other 4 imps and have Grim kill 1 mummy to complete the challenge

21. Farmyard II
Follow the exact path taken shown in the Viusal Guide, you'll skip past all the Scary Shock QTEs 

22. Wood Shed
Avoid the Medusas and head toward the exit, after retrieving the Egg Gun defeat the Vampire and go to the exit to start the challenge

Shoot once into the crowd of Yellow Chickens then shoot the crate to your left, once all the Chickens become Vampire Chickens collect "Super Weapons" and complete the challenge

23. Garbage Yard
Similar to Gaming Room II in Chapter 1, you want to break as many chairs before the challenge starts. Grab the bin to your right and aim it so it destroys the 3 chairs in one go, head left and pickup/break the chair there, then begin the challenge

Go to the right of the skip and pickup/break the chair there and the one to the left of the skip, then collect "Turbo Cooper" from the large bin and defeat the remaining chairs

24. Ffffreezer
Nothing noteworthy, just make sure to collect "Turbo Cooper" and "One-Hit Wonder" before starting the challenge (Locations for those is showcased in the Visual Guide)

25. Kitchen
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

26. Laundry
Nothing noteworthy, find Warlock and defeat him

   - Just defeat any other Ghoulies that spawn before finding Warlock, otherwise they'll get in the way

27. Servants' Quarters
Pickup the bin on the right where you spawn, and you want to throw it as far across the room as you can, aswell as hitting the Jessie & Clyde, this ensures you have enough time to collect "Invisibilty" before the Jessie & Clyde grabs you

After going up the 2nd set of stairs, break the chest of drawers on the left where you enter (near the first bed on your left at the top of the staiurs you just came up) to collect "Invisibility" once again, then head to the exit, skipping the Haunted Door fight

28. Servants' Bathroom
Nothing noteworthy, complete the challenge as normal

    - Make sure to keep an eye on The Reaper, it's rare but sometimes he'll escape the clutches of the Ghoulies attacking him. Collect "Dizzy Reaper" when >20 seconds remain

29. Attic
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal. The Visual Guide showcases the most optimal route to take here

30. Grand Hallway III

31. Experiments Chamber I
Find and defeat the Warlock for the final time, he dies in two hits with the Soda Gun. Collect "Challenge Complete" when the 2nd challenge starts

     - He always spawns in the two metal doors ahead of you where you spawn in

32. Krackpot's Lab
As soon as the challenge starts, immedately break the rules by killing a Skeleton, then break the cell door that spawns the Vampire and get The Reaper to kill it.

Collect "Invincibility" from breaking the voltage symbol on the machine there, and find the Key

     - If you trigger any Jessie & Clydes, collect "One-Hit Wonder" and defeat them, they WILL get in the way guanranteed 

NOTE: There is a "Krackpot Lab Skip" but it's still too inconsistent to use in a run, that goes for both my version and JJHero's version. I will showcase both here regardless:

33. Experiment's Chamber II
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal.

       - It's more consistent to just defeat or knockdown the Skeletons until none or 1 or 2 have weapons then run to the exit, this room is the worst in the game and I can't find a consistent, fast strat for it

34. Grand Hallway IV
After the cutscene involving opening Baron's door, trigger the Scary Shock QTE, after that smash the blue vase on the right and pickup the vase that spawns and head to the exit.

Throw the vase at the Haunted Door and immediately run back and left towards the Skeleton Door, smash the blue vase there and use both the vase then the bottles to kill the Haunted Door in just enough hits

      - Missing any of these hits basically guanrantees The Reaper will show up, very problamatic

Complete the 2nd challenge as normal, and head to the exit

1. The Baron's Quarters
Phase 1
Immediately run up, step back to avoid Baron's attack and punch him. Repeat once once then run to the right towards the Red Baron room 

Smash the far-left drawers and the cabinet next to that to spawn in the Super Weapons and Turbo Cooper cans, don't collect them just yet

Punch Baron once more and knock him down, pick up his weapon, grab Super Weapons and Turbo Cooper then knock Baron towards a wall and spam attacks until he enters phase 2 [He enters phase 2 when his health drops to 140]

Phase 2
You will be moved back to the main room, grab the lamp on the desk and throw it at Baron, then as he's getting up get behind his right side and uppercut him

- The timing for this seems very precise, more testing for this is needed, if you miss just wait for him to become vulnarable after his charge attack

Once you get the gun shoot him just as he becomes vulnerable again.

Ghoulies Phase
After the cutscene (Skeletons jumping out the paintings) immedately shoot Baron again, then kill all the skeletons before you lose control and the next cutscene plays

 - It doesn't really matter if you don't kill all the skeletons before this

After the 2nd cutscene (Zombies jumping out the paintings) kill all the skeletons and zombies to make Baron vulerable again, dodge his charge and shoot him, repeat from the skeleton phase for when the Worms spawns.

- By the time you reach the Zombie Pirate phase, you'll likely need to grab the Super Weapons can that spawns after shooting the sink in the Bathroom area

Once all the ghoulies are defeated and the cutscene with Baron spinning plays, stand inbetween the desk in the main room and just attack Baron when he's vulnerable after his quick charge until he's defeated

1. Grand Hallway I
Nothing noteworthy, go through the open door as normal

2. Bathroom
Collect One-Hit Wonder and pick up the basket, wait until Hunchback is doing his posing animation (His face is vulnaerable during it) then throw the basket at him

- You don't want to be too close to Hunchback here, otherwise he may run away from you as you're throwing the basket, or turn away to hide his face

3. Conservatory
Collect the Turbo Cooper just to the left where you gain control and run towards Mr. Ribs, collecting the other Turbo Cooper just next to him

Once he leaves go to the exit to start the challenge, immediately turn around and collect "Challenge Complete", then leave

4. Dunfiddlin Cottage
Smash the TVs (This will skip the challenge in this room entirely) go to where Mr. Ribs is and then leave

5. Dining Room
Go to where Mr. Ribs is to start the challenge

Pick up the sword that the Pirate nearest to you puts down and defeat all the Zombie Pirates, then leave.

- If you missed a Pirate when the sword breaks, collect "One-Hit Wonder" and the burgers to defeat the remaining Pirates

6. Pantry
Nothing noteworthy, go through this room as normal

7. Relic Store
Go to where Mr. Ribs is to start the challenge

When you gain control go back the way you came and smash open the sarcophagus on your left and collect "Super Weapons", then defeat all the Zombies and Mummies

- Staying in the area by the sarcophagus you smashed seems to help group up all the ghoulies, which helps complete the challenge faster

8. Laundry
Go to where Mr. Ribs is to start the challenge

Go down the stairs and collect "Challenge Complete" then leave

- Hugging the left wall by the exit door will bypass the Washing Machine Scary Shock

9. Walled Garden
Nothing noteworthy, complete the challenge by quickly defeating 4 ghoulies. Everything near you (Ninja Imps and Skeletons) die in one hit with the gun so this challenge should be completed almost immediately

10. Cinema
Collect Turbo Cooper from the vase on your right and go to where Mr. Ribs is

Approach Babs but don't get too close that it starts her dialogue (Otherwise she'll take your gun away), instead stand on the left side of the stairs and shoot the door, this will activate the door fight but you'll have the gun, allowing you to defeat it in 2 hits

12. Lower Corridors
Attempt the "Dogen Cooper" to skip the scary shock, if you miss just go through the room as normal.

13. Grand Hallway II
Nothing noteworthy, avoid the medusas and head to the front door as normal

Nothing noteworthy, complete this level as intended

- For the first set of Imps just stay where you are until they stop spawning, then go to the other side of the garden to the 2nd Doghouse to finish off the 2nd set of Imps

NG+ Speedrun guide (Incomplete rn)

Hey gamers, looking to learn Ghoulies but want a more straightforward tutorial to supplement the guides already out? You're in luck, i'll be updating this guide once every part drops.

The main draw of this category is that you can skip cutscenes, and can do every chapter of the game in whichever order you feel like. First time players without a complete save file will need to beat the game in regular order before they can do NG+ runs, but the chapters are all played the same way regardless so this guide will still end up helping.

Second QTE chair strat

The Dogen Cooper: How to do it.

This cool trick, done in the "Lower Corridors" during the part where you're trying to get your egg back from Mr.Skeltal isn't all that hard. You need to position yourself in a way so that the Haunted Chair hits you past the trigger for the Spooky Arm, allowing you to save a few seconds. Another trick you can do that's similar to the one above, on "Kitchen" during Chapter 3 when it's taken over by Medusas, you can trigger the first second or two of the scare animation for the Medusa nearby the exit door, but skip the rest. This strat seems to have no use though currently other than making you feel like a complete badass, or saving you from losing a few extra seconds in your run if you trigger the Medusa.
