What is a softlock, in the context of the game? All the submitted runs for softlock% are simply clipping into walls so you can't leave, but you can just re-load the save file. There is a softlock in the game where reloading the save file does not fix it. If you go to the area with the multi-gun, and clip through the next door, that door will not open. Then, if you ask the help point for the puzzle there if it is solve-able, you save your game, softlocking it for good. Should this be the goal of Softlock%?
I’d agree, the current softlock goal is really short and uninteresting. With the ability to clip/boundary break, I’d say a softlock should have a ) a save point inside the softlock region, and b ) no way to clip back out. I haven’t played in a while, but I feel like there might not be a lot of places with one-way clip opportunities.
