Could our "Variable" filters apply to more than 1 category or all categories?

Hello,

As the setting stands, to create a variable when you set up leaderboards it can apply to "Full Game, All Levels, Full Game and All Levels" which is fine, however if you apply to "Full Game" your only options are "All Categories" or one particular category. It's hard to get stuff to be set up conveniently like this as some categories wouldn't have every variable (Such as a category for one of our games extensions which would only want character Sonic as a small example). It just messes up the convenience when you have, in our case, a lot of variables for different runs as we can't just exclude it from that board, we'd need to painstakingly re add every single one of those variables.

Since the main SRB2 boards have some variables that do not want to be associated with Any% and so forth we had to make 6 independent filters for every single individual category where it pertained. Which is just unnecessary. We could just have the 1 variable with a checklist of what categories it should apply itself to. We have much larger variables in our category extensions that'd ideally fit this and I imagine a lot of boards would want this, too. Please can something be done?

The devs and site staff are probably aware that variables are horrible to manage at a large scale. A checklist option would be good, I think they might add something like this

@Meta has said that the next planned major update is a "category/variable navigation area" and "moderator side of things" update

I hope so, would make moderation at a large scale really, really nice.

+1 for this, need to be able to specify a list of categories, not just a single category. I just had a case where I had to add a couple of new full game runs that required their own set of difficulties, but I had already had the original difficulty variable applied to "All Categories", which applied to 2 existing categories. Ended up creating a total of 4 sets of difficulties, breaking one of the categories and had to re-edit all the runs to the new difficulty variable. Not exactly ideal.
