Taking the TIme inbetween Races hands an unfair advantage to people with better Hardware, which is something that should never happen in Speedrunning.

I compared my Loading Screen Time with the current WR in the ShortTrackChampionship 3Laps Dynamic. I am losing nearly a Minute just beeing in the Loading Screen. (His Loading Screen Time: 3:20 | My Loading Screen Time: 4:14). Those are just 4 Tracks! If twe use these two comparisons in a Full 20 Race Championship would this be a Timeloss of 5 Minutes!

By Taking the Time of each race individually this problem becomes obsolete and everyone is on an even palyingfield.

Speedrunning is a competition about how fast the people can be in a specific game and taling the Hardware into account for this is against the spirit of competition.

I think youre right with this. When i started speedrunnig the championship, i moved the game from my hdd to my ssd and turned the graphics to the lowest because of those loadingscreens. F1 2020 is a racing game where you want to be the fastest and with this unfair advantage for others, then maybe the fastest one is considered as the slower one.

I was considering running championship and saw that there was no load time removal/in game timing. For a run that lasts 1hr30-2hrs it's kind of a ridiculous amount of time that people will lose just from having a slightly slower SSD., let alone HDD.

Taking a quick look through all the other F1 games and it seems that they all time runs like this, it's a shame.

The topic is currently discussed by the mods, but there is a lot more to account for if a switch to IGT should be done. It personally held me off doing runs of those categories, too. So we are aware of the issues that come with the current ruleset.

I would think that a re time from the mods would be sufficient for an IGT, right? Like runners can do an IGT by themselves, but also having the mods re time the runs post submission to avoid inconsistencies would be fair too.

IGT could be included from the ending of the loading screens with the track picture in the background, and then the time can be started from the first moment the runner has control of the car settings from the pitlane or the car itself, whichever comes first.
